Maybe true. I think the problem is people wont stick around. On union there was just one scrapper (late night), so thought before I left I try and kill them. Had a couple good fights and more and more people kept coming in until turned into a full scale war

I suppose its all luck of the draw and whose about. As soon as afew more heroes came in I called in some villain reinforcements which then resulted in the heroes having to do the same. Maybe its just word of mouth travels faster on union then defiant.

I think the biggest reason is the inexplainable crashing that happens in pvp zones.. The devs should realy hurry on that.
edit: on second thought, the crashing seems to have died down mostly, but we haven't had any official announcement that the problem is fixed, have we?
yeah gotta be the zone crashing that has killed it for many, its absolutely comical, wouldnt be so bad if we didnt ahve to smegging verify files every damn time

Crashing still happening, done it to me 3 times last night on union sirens before I called it a night.

Yeah, RV is a pain for me and my bro, and then when you send a petition saying "We got 1000 points then crashed" they sent back saying.. "We don't understand what you mean"...Tssk...

I don't know about others but the crashing has me staying away from PvP. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems worse on villains then heroes.

[/ QUOTE ]You don't, you can either set up a shortcut that alters the registry to remove VerifyOnNextLoad, or you can just bypass the updater.
It's not only Sirens. I have spent quite some time in both Bloody, Siren's and Warburg, and have only actually seen people there on 3 occasions; 2 heroes, and 1 villain.
Frankly, I don't see why, I've never crashed in these zones.
Its because I was away, they realised that if I was not about then the villains would have no one to eat, so thus no need for working pvp zones
People need to set a time and day for people to meet up in certian zones, say weekly, like i did with the Warburg Weekly raid, it worked ealy well, every week we had atleast about 20 people fighting on the beach, i think that, if you can gurrantee theres going to be some pvp at a certain time, people will log on because they Know they are going to get some pvp, and not enter the zone finding hteres about 2 people there, and just log straight off again.

I know SC used to be fairly good from about 10pm onwards, before that It could go either way with population.
warbug is dead on union but you can find some action in siren call sometimes.
How do you bypass the updater?
Create the following shortcut:
"C:\Program Files\City Of Heroes\CityOfHeroes.exe" -project "EUCoH" (Adjust filepath if your game is installed in a different location)
