Deviant and Onion are english speaking servers, but that doesn't mean they're UK

Nope, its actually hosted in Germany or France somewhere.
NCSoft EU offices are in the UK alright and they made the website URLs start with UK instead of EU (typical, something to do with crumbled empires and former glories or something 
)

To me so far it's been the digital equivalent to a wedgie and naked-run around the pool table: exactly what the new guy deserves. No biggie.

Well I'm happy to say I thoroughly enjoyed my first proper evening of Defiant zone PvP (I was on my Tanker). My only gripe: game stability; four game crashes in the space of 10 minutes (stupid I8!).
Anyhoo, I've replied to a few of you concerning an SG/VG invite via global tells. I look forward to hearing back from you.
See you all again in-game, and maybe in the Arena next time.

Long-time CoH/V player, first-time UK server player.
I've just transferred over from the US servers in search of a fresh start, and I've been told Defiant is the place to be.
I've been playing CoH since realese day in the US, and beta before that, so I'm by no means new to the game, but after two and a half years on US servers I decided it was time to move on try something new.
I'm largely into PvP, but I'd like to get back in levelling my toons again and running TFs, missions, etc. like I used to.
Anyway, I'll save formal introductions for some other time. I look forward to seeing you all in-game and making some new friends.
