I doubt I will be using aid other very much, if at all :P
The build is only for PvE and a scrapper isnt meant to be the healer I'd rather have that 1 heal to reduce the downtime of the group before next mob, in that case heal is better ;P

Take build up. Slot it with the extra slot from your toggles. 1 end rredux in each is enough IMO. Also slot conserve power with 2 more recharges, for those AV fights that drag on.

I slotted 1 dmgres on it to have balanced resistances. It's a pain to be invincible against one type of damage, but once you meet another type of damage you're as strong as a wet piece of paper...
On the other hand, I didnt pick build up because I forget to use it

well i just have to say something here being a katana scrapper myself (from time to time at least )
only having Sting of the wasp and Divine Avalanche untill lvl 18 could work allthough very slowly, but not slotting damage in Sting untill lvl 30+ and not even an Acc untill 29?!!?! seriously?
i mean, okay, each to their own, but i really would recommend looking over the slotting...(unless you never ever exemp)

Not sure if Aid Self is worthwhile as you already have Dull pain, and will probably have enough green's to see you through. You might want to add 2 extra slots to RPD, as it's your only res if you get de-toggled or end drained. Also I'd suggest Build up earlier in that build as well.

All in all your not offensively thinking, scrappers are balanced heavier in offense than defense and sometimes dropping someone first is better than seeing a gradually losing battle but to be somewhere near ya thinking i havent slotted the attacks as heavily as i would my own asap.
How would i make a katana invuln, well i wouldnt touch them with a barge pole, but anyway this needs to use divine avalanche atleast once in every 10 secs for best result, also i do recommend build up but i saved it to the end for ya so that haste gives ya faster recharging dp sooner and as you dont use it much. Invulns in this circumstance for me has become a defensive set and on a kat scrapper id highly recommend it. Hit the last foe in a mob with DA so that ya prebuffed running into next group.

Most power choices are ya own but i do like to make alot of builds for fun and no toggles arent end heavy, the attack chain is. Works best in herded mobs, invulns always do unless carnie :P but with your def and katana does more dps for great dpe for it.

OK, let me pick holes in that.
3 Slotted tough hide completey negates the -def from invincibility, so is worth slotting. I've managed just fine on just Dull Pain, so you may have extra slots and power choices to make instead of going down the aid self route (but it's personal choice), but I see you've taken that instead of the passive resists. Horses for courses of course.
1 Dam Res in unstoppable hits you on the cap when combined with your other powers.
The to-hit buff in invincibility is now pitifully small. Either 3 slot it, or don't slot it at all.

I wouldn't even bother taking invincibility on a Katana Scrapper.
If you get into trouble, spam Divine Avalanche. You'll be getting hit with melee attacks 90% of the time anyway, and will hit the defense 'cap' to melee/lethal in two applications. Laugh at the little mobs!
For a scrapper the Resist Energy/Element inherents are next to worthless. They do very very poor base damage resistance numbers: you nearly get more mitigation from Combat Jumping than both of them put together.

Pure PvE Build. (I find Energy Torrent very useful PvE...)
OK... so you'd have to prise me away from my beloved Build Up with a crowbar. I just find it really, really useful for a scrapper... Build Up + high damage attacks + a lucky Crit? Yes please! Katana's 'Golden Dragonfly' even recharges fast enough to fit two of them into one Build Up buff.
Swap medicine pool for fighting pool if it takes your fancy. The extra slot in Health will help slightly if you can't fire off Aid Self but is basically spare (can be easily shifted into Hurdle to cap Jump speed).
Invincibility and Tough Hide are pretty interchangable there, can swap positions around with Hasten if you want them in pre-30, I'd advise leaving Hasten in the Build to cut the recharge on Unstoppable and Dull Pain. If I really can't talk you into keeping Build Up, you can drop it for Invincibility.
Flashing Steel is several orders of magnitude better than The Lotus Drops. It recharges much faster, does the same damage, costs much less and is a wide cone so will usually hit just as many enemies.
Without Hasten running you will always have a normal attack available: Golden Dragonfly, Soaring Dragon, SOTW and Flashing Steel. With Hasten running you can spam GD--> DA --> SD --> DA constantly without a break in your chain for a balance of very high defense and decent attack power- many EBs will fall to that!
Finally, Divine Avalance needs slotted that way for maximum effectiveness unless you have HOs.

Its meant to negate the -def from unyielding and it does on its own. Slotting it is worthwhile if you have loads of other defence to stack it on but i had for survivability terms other priorities.

Many invuln tanks find being defensive far more beneficial than resistant and get weave instead. It does work well but it all depends on what you make your tanker for on a scrapper th hp is less and the res is less. In this scrappers case his defence the def buff from being amongst 10 foes from invincibility + combat jump + divine avalanche can get pretty good (all but psi) or pretty high (lethal). Its better to not get hit at all than be hit and you will miss out on the secondary effects as well. I think when it comes to attacks that are combined lethal and smash or lethal and fire attacks etc. if the lethal misses the smash misses and the fire misses.

I res capped it i think bearing in mind the passives to Rel and Ren arent there which is good and if your end drained unstoppable would put ya at 73.5% alone.

It is small but not amongst numbers i believe, but i left it there because:
a) i am not sure of the exact figures atm but i think atleast 2% tohit would be multiplied by 10 giving 20% tohit and a tohit buff on with an additional base of 5% would mean he is carried over till he gets foc acc, i do think katana is a great aoe set and invulns get buffed by being in the middle of mobs so being in a mob of 10 foes is ideal. It would definately be a taunt slot on a tank for me.
b) its a spare slot for end or more so taunt if needed.
Maelwrys build i think is better than mine for pvp as invincible provides next to no real benefits, less so than TH due to end cost.

True. Also on tanks the defense buffs from INV are greater than on scrappers.

Actually it's excellent (melee and lethal) and mediocre (all else except for psi) Divine Avalanche is positional Melee and non-positional lethal defense. That means Psi damage is also covered if it's a "Melee" attack. Combat Jumping provides a tiny def buff to everything except toxic, Invincibility and Tough Hide can get you mediocre defense to all but psi/toxic.
By itself double-stacking a 3-slotted Divine Avalanche will put you at the soft defence "cap" for melee and lethal. Meaning that you won't see any extra benefit from running invincibility or tough hide if you're getting hit by those types of attacks.

It's 75% of INV tank numbers. Unslotted the defense boost at 10 enemies is +15% (3.75% base + 1.125*10, DA gives +15% for a single application and +30% when stacked) but the +tohit is far less than that. Nofuture quotes a 2% ToHit boost, and judging by my INV tanker I think that sounds about right...

Not an issue in practice, as exemping doesn't ever take slots away - just powers and Accolades.
Whatever slots you have at your real level you keep when exemped, but depending on starting and exemping level your enhancements' effectiveness may get an across the board reduction.
Hm... I came to this, now that I tried out aid self a bit and noticed I never actually needed it. Was thinking of replacing the medicine pool with hasten and build up

Its very hard to go wrong with a build imo due to slotting more of any one enhancement in a power making advantages in a certain direction.
Take lotus drops:
The Lotus Drops==> Dmg(18) Dmg(25) Dmg(34) EndRdx(37) EndRdx(37) Acc(37)
You would use this every 14 seconds, if you hit 10 with it you would do 10 times the damage "to a group of foes" than you would if you hit only one.
Adding each foes damage taken its also about 4 times the damage to a group than sting of the wasp for twice the endurance.
Damage per endurance-wise its 2 times the damage per endurance than sting of the wasp against 10. So against numbers its great dpe but against 1 foe unslotted lotus drops could do a quarter of the damage for twice the endurance cost.
So i personally if all attacks are base slotting (empty) wouldnt use Lotus drops on less than 4 targets as a way of conserving endurance and being that the damage to a group is so high for the amount of endurance cost with lotus i would of recharged it to 'up' my overall damage per second through multitargetting as opposed to an extra end slotting it (and this is partially how claws is meant to win in terms of dps versus other scrappers as well as more attacks to an endurance bar).
You have bought the endurance cost down so that the amount of minimum targets you can use it on for worthwhile damage per endurance to almost 1 foe and its now a single target attack chain filler (due to its long recharge).
If i can spend my entire game doing nothing but using aoe's that never miss and hit 10 constantly with 3 rechg 3 dam i would have the highest dps and still great dpe against groups.
Rather than have lotus drops down to viable for hitting one foe i would look to close up my single target attack chain so that the aoes are there just for when i am amongst atleast 4 enemies (but id prefer 10 for greater damage output).
In short I like to just use single targets against one foe without breaks and aoe the groups as often as reasonably possible.
2 extra slots for 1.33% on tough hide id say is bad, but the more def you have it gets good so in a mob of 10 with invincible and divine avalanche it add a bit more survivability than id normally expect. An extra 1 in a 100 attacks would miss on its own, with my super reflex before defense scaleability and res in the passives i found getting out of the way the best way to survivability. Warhulks would be about to blow and i'd of left its pbaoe range just as a blaster finished it off (hey they may of stood next to the warhulk on low hp too at the time :P ) but even in pvp movement gets you places.
Invulns toggles are so low i am not sure if they are worth an end slot let alone 2 but if there is nowhere better to put them then thats the case for putting them in.

Well, the 2x slots for endredux on the toggles is just because there werent any better places to put slots on, they had 1x endredux slot, but I couldnt find anything better to slot. The 3x def on tough hide is for the same reason.
And I just NEVER, I really mean NEVER slot travel powers. I just dont do that. And I dont even have THbuff on BU or movement enhs on hurdle/SJ because I dont pvp on this toon at all
And for the lotus, I dont use it as a single target filler, put 2x endredux on it so it would drain minimal end once I use it so I can keep on fighting my ST chain as long as possible. I found out there arent many occasions per fight I could even use it! Usually just one or two.

The end redux in the toggles is worth it, especially at higher levels as he's going to be running FA as well.

Yes, I will be running FA because, however strange it may sound, it will actually save me some endurance. Without FA I'd have to slot 2x acc on attacks and have 1x rechg to keep the chain running, and also 3x dmg to keep the damage up. With FA I can slot 3x dmg, 1acc, 1rechg and 1endredux. This will really save me endurance on the long run.
And of course, I'll be popping conserve if endurance gets low

I agree with all that which is why i never picked anywhere better for end slots, they were just suggestions not necessarily FYI cos its a public forum.
I dont pvp either, well not much and I couldnt make a pvp build over a pve one, all of my tanks and scrappers have the base slots in the travel powers cept the one scrapper who currently doesnt have a travel power at 50 just so she can be stupidly high dps and survivability, elude + swift is my travel power.
When i play my scrappers i like to be swamped in the enemy just like a tank thats herded. Invulns get a to hit buff + additional defense and your aoe attacks do more damage per end amongst numbers so you cant lose except in the case of obviously herding carnie or malta for an invuln scrapper when solo is suicide at low def. If ya wished to herd foes to do it solo you can attack as you herd and take foes in the direction you are going through a mission anyway, against devouring earth it maybe quicker to pull away from that quartz thats buffing their acc than have to get pulverised next to it or whilst hitting it. Its ofc a swings and roundabouts thing, finalise your choice on how you play, i cant see how you play but I will suggest stuff for any reason cos i do like looking at builds and reading what people work out.

After having 2 lvl 50 Katana/Invul scrappers i would say the following...
Get tough, you will be 1.3% higher res than tankers invul (if they dont have tough) for S/L
Get every single invul power, DA with 2 acc, when fighting melee bosses do attack --> DA --> attack DA gamblers gut and flashing steel i personally wouldnt get.

Notice: There's no build up since I rarely use that, and this build is pure PvE half tanking build, half damage build. IF I'd pick BU it would be over resist elements because there's not too much fire/cold/poison damage around except in PvP which I dont do on this toon.
