Would it be possible to ask a hero for help in RV as I am trying to test the capability of using a Heavy whilst kepping my necro zombies in the 'Bodyguard' mode. I actually want to get attacked and attack back but not killed just to test this.
This might look like a hijack of thread but its not. Im asking is it acceptable as I WANT to PVP but im not sure a necro MM will be able to.

Try this sort of thing late at night, when the Zone is empty - you an get up to all sorts of fun and games if there's only a couple of players working together

Well I'm just thinking that the 'badgehunters' idea of getting all the badges is a bit shallow since badges recognise 'acheivement', and you'd mark yourself out for being the player who did X or who killed X skulls.
So the badges in PvP zones are there to award those who risk and play in PvP Zones! They'd be known as the people who in their playtime have 'taken 1000 pillboxes'.
It takes a bit of the 'reward' and uniqueness out of your badge colleciton if some people go and take advantage of the rules and just get that name badge title no?
All im saying is the badges reflect what your hero/villain has done! That'd be the best way of having them really- badgehunting sort of dampens to appeal

I don't think there's anything wrong with getting Villains (or the opposing side) to help you accomplish something, I in fact did it to get the Reformed badge on Chi, which is for killing Longbow. I got my Dominator friend to confuse me, while I went crazy . However, it's a PvP zone, so I don't think it should get in the way of other people's PvP, and they can try and attack me if they want. They would get pwned of course, but, I said if they want .

Anyways, I've had trouble with this and have found a great solution IGNORE EVERYONE.
I can get multiple abuse on all my alts for different reasons, Far-Seer, not a clue why but everyone seems to pounce right away when I bring him out.
Chill, he is an abuse magnet, some hate him just because of the AT lol but the best Ive ever heard is, and I quote, YOUR ****, you move about to much
now that is taking the bleep.
All I've done is removed Broadcast and Local and ignore tells. Then I basically do what I want in a PvP Zone, if I see someone and fancy attacking in the hope of killing them. I will,
If they are AFK then [censored] are they in the middle of a PvP Zone for
If they are gaining XP, sod them there are none PvP Zones for that
PvP Badges compared to none PvP ones are made into much tougher badges to gain due to the enemy players bouncing round the zone, and if you can't gain these badges with out sending nasty tells to stop attacking you, then your just a failure as badge hunter and need to quit right now, this is the reason we call them PvP Badges. (I'm big on badges, and I don't expect others to just leave me alone while gaining. Though if I know the player I do send a tell asking them nicely)
Last but defiantly not least! Duelling in a PvP Zone! If you manage to do it then fair enough, in may be like 4am in which case ye why not. Ive had so much abuse just from entering a PvP zone and jumping on 2 players mid-duel, with out knowing...

Arg! there was a few of these formed a fight club in warburg last night. I leave them to in that zone cos I dont like warburg anyway, but other people wanted to pvp. With all the swearing and griefing over broadcast (from the duellers) I suggested they use arena where they wont be interrupted. There response "but here we can pvp and duel". Hmm. ok. so you want it to be a pvp zone or duelling zone when it suits you. I gave up and went missioning in port oakes where a bunch of duellers using the arena were also spamming obscenities. :S

Just came from RV....and im a bit puzzled.
While i was in there i got the "Villains control pillbox" msg.."great" i thought. So i grab a heavy and head on over.
Once i get there, there is a lone Villain on the pillbox, so i send in my heavy (as you do), then get told to STOP by a group of Heroes saying "he's helping us get the temp powers" :/ .

People need to understand that they cant just monopolize pvp zones like this. So its either ignore their requests and attack, and become "the bad guy" or just sit there or log out and come back on when its convenient to them.

IT is a pvp zone and in 99% of cases I will be nice and leave them alone, but lets be honest 99% of them will not do the same in return.
I went into there the other night (my second trip into RV,first was to clear the map and look around), I was happily stomping around with my mercs getting killed by Statesman,taking down the odd pillbox or two when I Was killed by a confused villan and some heroes.
Apparently they were working together to get the badges and whatever else you get, and were annoyed with playing the game :O
Safe to say I put my second ever person on ignore that day.
If people cannot grow up enough to not insult or be offencive then they deserve the mighty button of "ignore" ....Fools..

There's some merit to that attitude, but badgehunters must accept that enemy players are an inherent hazard of and and all zones and should NOT expect other players to accept "I'm PvEing!!" as a free pass.
I dont generally PvP anymore, except in base raids, but still do the missions in Sirens and Warburg. When I'm doing this I go from the safe zone to the mission as fast as humanly possible because I'm EXPECTING someone to jump out the woodwork and thump me at any moment. If badgehunters had that attitude perhaps they wouldn't get so upset when it actually happened.

PvP zones, especially RV, has become more of a badgehunting zone than an actual PvP zone and thats unfortunate.
IMO badgehunting shouldnt be in PvP zones but RV has loads so you can't really blame people for badgehunting there, but as previously stated it IS a PvP zone so expect to be attacked.
I'm a badger on one of my toons and if I get attacked while badging i try to fight back and if I lose I will go to hossie and go at it again or come back later...simple as that.
If I'm on one of my PvP toons I will generally attack everything in sight...again...it's a PvP zone...expect to be attacked.
Heavys are stupidly overpowered but goes with the badgehunting and IMO ruins some of the fun of the PvP aspect.

I like badges, nout wrong with them, but if i go to the pvp zones to get them, i go knowing i will most likely be attacked. It's player vs player afterall.
If heroes are helping villains and vice versa, fair dues, go for it..... I'll still attack you if i'm about for pvp.
I've got no time or patience for the pathetic argument that is "People should respect we wish to duel/badge hunt" Balls to that, you were warned on entering its pvp... enjoy the pavement SUCKA!!!
