Militia Thursdays
If you want TP then maybe just get hover so you don't fall out of the sky.
Also try and get the Fitness pool powers asap and get them out the way.
Rain of Fire IS cool - it just needs love and care when using it. Fire Blasters spamming Rain of Fire is one of the classic team *groan*'s.
For instance, when FC gets repel and can herd the enemy into a corner from which there is no escape - it would be lethal. Or if we have a controller who can immobilise the lot of them - or slow the lot of them, etc, etc,.
As far as Teleport is concerned - its a RP group, get what suits you for RP. However, you may wish to delay the powers until the 20's?
Also you may consider getting something like Hover, Recall Friend and Teleport (skipping fly)?
Or if you really want: Get Hover, Fly, Recall Friend, Teleport Foe and Team Teleport?
Up to you really.
This?

Tip on using rain of fire, be sure to use in combo with movement inhibitors, like Tarpatch and such. Hasn't failed an another group I'm in yet.
BT costumer service is appauling. Lady spoke to me now and says the Router they promised wasn't even ordered. I've been waiting two weeks for its delivery! Now she promises it'll be here tomorrow. It better be or I'm switching over.
Anyways D, you can either focus your Fire Blaster on Single Target damage, AoE damage, and Ranged or Melee ranged damage according to your preference.
Powers I would avoid:
Flares is the weaker of the first fire attacks and I think the animation is poor, but it's your blaster.
Combustion, Blazing Aura, Burn and Hot Feet not only look really cool but can be effective if you like to play within Melee range.
The powers I've chosen and the method of slotting, I think is as powerful as can be withing RP limits. Feel free to question it, and I hope it helps.

My attack chain:
Under Level 10 - Ring of Fire > Fire Blast > Fire Sword. Repeat. (Single Targeting to save endurance)
Under Level 20 - Build Up > Aim > Fire Ball. Stragglers = Fire Blast or Fire Sword. Repeat. (Muahah!!)
Under Level 30 - Build Up > Aim > Fire Breath > Fire Ball. Survivors = Fire Blast or Fire Sword. Repeat.
(Blazing Bolt to assassinate major threats ie. mezzers/sappers/lt. or boss)
(Rain of Fire when accompanied with teamate with AoE control. Consume for stealing end. mid-fight)
Over Level 40 - Build Up > Aim > Teleport > Inferno > Catch Breath. Survivors = Fire Blast or Sword.
(Alternating Fire Breath's attack chain while Inferno is recharging)
(Fire Shielding. Rise of the Phoenix to rez, Char and Ring of Fire to mez. Bonfire to knock 'em).
(Fire is deadly damage!! Leaves teamates looking like "Theres never anything left for me to defeat")
I have a Fire/Fire blaster over on Defiant and he rocks. Fireball and Rain of Fire are the two attacks that most often annoy team-mates so I'd agree that teaming with someone with a nice AoE hold or slow is a must. If you get to team with a Trick Arrow Defender who slaps down Oil Slick, you can hold them and make your own little barbecue.
Two things to watch for is that Fire has little control and due to its AoE nature, you can end up aggroing more than you can handle. Also, it has a thirst for endurance like no other blasts do (except perhaps Ice). Get Aim and Build Up fast as you want those opening attacks to take out as many as possible in one go.
Also, as you're picking up Hover, I'd slot it for flight speed (3 max) and use it on mission maps to stay out of melee range until most of the mobs are down, then close in to use Combustion and Fire Sword.
Good to see Derek in the Milita uniform, sorry I wasn't able to hang around longer.

Still needs a little more muscle to impress Dragon though.

Hey! Derek has been working out plenty at Icons gym. He's buff!
Sure!
Post me and I'll check it out...
Can you guys do me a favour please? I'd like an OOC listing of us all in one place with visual references, mainly for the community to see. Like this:
Dragonfly : Katana : Super Reflexes : Level 15 : Visual Reference of Persona.
Send them to me via Private Message please.
Unfortunatly I will not be on for a month or two due to my move, so Hyper Cat will disappear for a while. I shall write something IC when I'm back, which will explain his absense.
Have Fun!
Leon
Hope to have you settled and back soon Leon/Tom/Hyper.
All, have you seen the fantastic work Nightsparrow has done on the Militia forum set up by Derek - it is quite amazing - she even found one of the old Lady Cobra comics Dragonfly has been going on about! A must see! very, very cool
I agree there. Its a different way of telling storyplots, thats certain.
Icicles.
Right, its taking me longer than expected, but I shall deliver the following before tonight's meet.
I am compiling a full documentation of events within the Militia, most likely filed by the Ministry.
I am writing with Derek and Dante on a scene which sets up some tension between the young couple.
That is all.
Later, I hope to get something done with Lotus which would lead to Dragonfly's journey back to China, research on the Golden Dragonfly katana and eventual evolution in power.
Mer'de too will be journeying back home soon, to try and halt a rising crisis under the French Alps, at which point, he learns the terrible history of Journe.
Anybody else got plots planned? Don't keep it a secret.
Great work on the Militia history update Wow, we have really been through a lot, haven't we!
As regards current plots for my characters, here is a brief update:
Lady Cobra and Extrisity have been talking a bit, and Ex's computer skills may be what finally generates a lead on Lady's lost daughter, Jessica. For the time being, Ex has promised to check what he can dig up on villainess Shadow Whisper, who may be somehow linked to Jessie's disappearance.
Lady Cobra has also been spending some time getting to know Nightsparrow better. The two have been investigating the disappearance of Keening Banshee together. In the process, they encountered a truly evil and scary villain called Grim Shade in Pocket D. He has been haunting Sparrow for a long time, and now Lady C is having nightmares about him too.
Masked Angel is trying to juggle the combined challenges of Dragonfly, Extrisity and her father's ideas for an arranged marriage. Odds are she will end up being kicked out of her home very soon if she keeps up her defiance vis-a-vis her dad's plans. The disagreements between Meriam and her dad are doing nothing to help save her parent's marriage and kid brother Davod is not as supportive as Meriam would have liked and expected. Also, she is struggling somewhat to keep up at her new, posh school.
Perhaps getting a few days off and going to China with Dragonfly would do her good?
So, this is an update of the most recent events surrounding Cobra and Angel - See you all tonight
Just saw the update - fantastic work
this is the missions right, srry this will be first time for me, (unless dinner conincides or something ), headquarters i assume is the base and you can all meet Jack, first time for some, first time in the flesh for others, hope to see y'all tonight

Personally, Id skip the teleport powers and rain of fire to get swift / health / stamina.
Bare in mind Rain of Fire is a tasty AoE power, but causes all the enemies in it to scatter and run off, and then to get angry and attack you. To use it effectively you need some way of containing them - like an Ice tank, Controller, or Storm defender. Otherwise its best saved as a "Finish them off" power.

I just thought rain of fire would be epic and cool like that but if it does what you say it does, it doesn't sound so attractive any more.
