Thugs Blasterminding
It takes some guts to play a mm without relying on pets to do your work, It'd be cool to team with you just to see it done.
That said you'll forgive me if I hide behind my own little thug meatshield wall.
Friends are just enemies that haven't betrayed you yet.
well i'd team with you my thugs MM is gonna be pet centric, but i'm still taking dual wield and the cae that i cant remember what its called. :\
As promised, a proposed build. I think I can already see a few areas where enhancements could be better applied, but I'll save that for the next attempt.

Comments appreciated, as always.
ah well in my insanity I've tried this
I have got a completely petless MM to 12 I wanted a villain with a bow but tbh the awfull end cost and low damage defeated me.That and people not wanting to team with me ..no idea why cos the poison set is an awesome secondary .
The real problem was that faced with 3 even lvl cons I would run out of end so lvling was ridiculously slow,3 yellows was almost a garuanteed faceplant.
Put 3 rech in tar patch, the more res debuffs on enemies, the better
DN at 22? That's gonna be a long way...
Where is fearsome stare?
Darkest Night at 22 was the first place I could see to put it, unless I swapped it with Tar Patch. The first 20 levels or so are about getting the essentials so that i survive past that, such as Stamina, Hasten etc.
I'll change the slotting in Tar Patch, and Fearsome Stare isn't there because I really don't want to have too many powers that aggro multiple enemies onto myself, due to my lack of ability to fight back.

[/ QUOTE ]Fearsome stare aggroes little, and as long as you don't hit a feared target, they'll just cower without attacking you. It's also fairly nice ToHit Debuff.
I've had a quick go with a Ninja/Trick Arrow Blastermind, and at lvl 4 he's actually quite reasonable with no pets; he never puts the bow down since brawl and throw daggers are weapon friendly, which avoids the draw weapon animation delays that thug blasterminds may suffer from.
To be honest it feels a lot like playing a dominator! Of course, dominators do gradually improve their assault options, whereas the blastermind stalls out at 3 attacks...
I suspect that in the long run the fighting pool would be useful, although I understand that the attacks aren't weapon-friendly
I think I'll be spending my time on an elec/elec brute when I7 goes live though - and my time for wasting on experiments will be gone (what with that and exploring 40+ content with my MM)...
Okay, here's the latest build for my fellow MaX to peruse over.

You might can add some recharges in the pet-summon powers, as they are your shields you cant have them down due recharge at any moment imho.

*Snip*
[/ QUOTE ]You'll want fearsome stare six-slotted, really. Grab some slots from invis/HT/PG/Phase.
So, Fearx3/Debuffx2/Recharge for Fearsome Stare? (Although not in that order)
*trows away his old hero-builder*

My personal choice is 1 ACC, 3 Rech, 2 Fear.
Have a Thug/trap blastermind on test. Concept driven, rather than effective

Slotting timing is a little whack, but hey.
He seems to be doing well so far. I have had to re-jig a little for leveling purposes, but this is the respec build and the one I'm testing on the RV event.
Two self-heals and a shield-unit ought to do it.
Let the savage critique begin!
PS Who's up for meeting up in the RV event as a group of Thug Blasterminds?
I'm tempted to use my Blastermind build for the RV event, but I don't want to 'spoil the fun' as it were of levelling up and finding out exactly how I'm going to turn up.
(Plus, If I'm really really bad, I wouldn't want to be disheartened and end up not creating it )
does a blastermind with pets still count as a blastermind?
Shadow Fall, unless its been drastically changed in I7 is very end hungry, suggest swapping the recharges for end reducers.

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes and no. Although I'm taking the pets, they will be set on Defense/Follow, and acting only as meat-shields, with me having no direct control over them at all. My only attacks will consist of my Pistols and any damage-dealing Dark powers.
I tried about making a thugs blastermind. Personally I gave up when I realized she'd only have 3 attacks, one of which a cone.
Kudos to those of you sticking with it. You're braver than I am.

Brave/determined/stupid, it's all the same to me
:S did not read whole post but going for a Iron Man build!? ... Prolly dark is best since it has a heal and some debuffs.
[ QUOTE ]
Obviously, I think a lot of this will be done solo or with an extremely understanding team, I don't want to hold back any people and cause them debt etc.
[/ QUOTE ]Welcome to team with my thugs MM, I like debt
