Does whirlwind prevent AS strikes???????

It does prevent AS, the nerf wasn't to that but to do with the fact they can just pin players to the wall in base raids.
That was Hurricane.
If you stand completly still it protects you most of the time, if you move even a little bit it wont protect you. If you stand still it ticks fast enough to prevent it if it his but the problem is that its radius is about the same as AS range so you quite easily move out of the range of the ticks after AS has fired. Hope this helps, Im not quite sure its true but this is my experience for having it on my blaster.

. I will try the warshade powers and whirlwind on test with a friends stalker and see if I can prevent it at least most of the time. If I find any combo that is outstanding I will post.
Orbiting death with three accuracies combined with whirlwind should do...
Yeah, but most Stalkers can just fit an AS in there if there's one miss... My Regen with CJ was avoiding a 2 slotted one..
If its on a warshade....wouldn't inky aspect interrupt AS? Haven't tried it though

Gah, me being a tit. I automatically read 'hurricane' whenever I see Whirlwind as I can't beleive people actually whirlwind

IT'S THE SAME METEOROLOGICAL (sp?) PHENOMENON (again, sp?)
Heh,for us Germans it's even more confusing:
Whirlwind = Wirbelwind
Hurricane = Wirbelsturm
My scrappers got whirlwind and it works very well, can stop most As's and with slotted brawl i can de-toggle brutes and send them flying all over the place

Tested it against Nefarious and it barely hits - nowhere near enough to stop AS.
Hi heard today in game that whirlwind prevents AS strikes. I am aware it is nerfed. Therefore is this true. I am trying to build some sort of AS prevention into my warshade and so far have only thought about orbiting death and inky aspect as an option-both of which are not perfect IMO.
