As an invunerable scrapper I light up brighter than a christmas tree with all my toggles on and I'm sure there's other builds out there with powers that could look like if not over power costume auras.Is it me or does it sound silly for you guys to ask peeps to remove auras from cossies they are happy with then hassle them because they haven't?I'm sure the last time hammi was killed there were peeps with capes in the pics. Do you really want to squash the freedom of people who want to join but don't want to lose their auras or capes?

no, there are about 2 types of shields that work, thats why they say to take them off and only have the certain shields on

I agree, thats one of the reasons i have not bothered
i am sure you will appreciate that there is a fair amount of lag in the game already, on a hamidon raid this is intensified massively, the reason for no auras or capes is to Minimise the lag. and as you will have already understood that the server has kicked us all out of the map on a few occasions because of lag. We do not ask just for bloodymindedness it is to make ALL of our jobs that bit easier. Hope this clarifies a little
If everyone went to the raid wearing an aura and cape then there would be widespread disconnections from the map server due to the lag. Personally I don't think it's that much of a sacrifice to go back to a pre-level 20 costume.

The only toggle you should be running is Unyielding as anything else is useless against Hami.
What about when they make all the people of an architype have to be in a certain colour cozzy?

Ok this is 100th time this comes up so lets set it straight why lag is such an issue from capes and auras etc.
First of all the organisers of the raid dont have any intention to play god almighty uppon others by asking them to remove the capes.If it was up to them they would prolly say to come dressed as a christmas tree and lighten up the Hive. Unfortunately the server has major issues with thoughts like this.
Secondly the organisers certainly appreciate the usage of FS,lightning storm,darkest night,shields,toggles,novas,taunts,aoe etc etc but certainly have a good grasp of how USELESS these are during the raid due to the special nature of Hami and the Efficiency/lag ratio (for FS). So when someone asks to stop the FS or any powers is not because he is ignorant or a some new guy but apparently cause he knows there is issue with this power being used plus its USELESS.
Finally the whole lag issue and the effort to decrease it as much as possible is simple. During the hold phase its utterly CRUCIAL to have the best update possible regarding the progression of Hami's lifebar and to manage the Vanguards at best possible way.Every little effort regarding lag helps in this believe me.There has been a raid where the use of Vanguard was delayed due to lag issue based on the Hami hp bar and the mitos spawned.
So what do we learn?
This is always a community effort.Work all together and we stand a chance. Once the famous "I" comes into play then its all gone to the Americans. Thats the lesson i ve learned at least from all raids i ve been in and organised or led.

Oh yes the colour coding.Let me explain this also. Its not some weird kinky twist the organisers have. Imagine during the raid there is a need at some team for an X AT,which usually happens a lot. The organisers have the ability to go through the AT's fast instead of putting tells out asking who wants to help and losing time. When the AT's are colour coded is far more efficient regarding organising teams etc.
Furthermore during the raid there are many new people that dont bother to stick with the plan or the usual people that insist to use powers that lag and are absolutely useless.Fulcrum shift for example. Is far easier to keep an eye on purple and blue uniforms to find who is spamming the wrong power and tell him to stop rather than searching the hive population.
So you see is not by luck or removing any freedom is simply for efficiency during the raid.It might seem small to you but for those leading and organising that need to keep track of a majority of paramters during such pandemonium it means a lot.

It costs you no money to remove your cape and your aura, and as I've already said I have offered to GIVE you money to put it back if it's really that important to you and you can't afford it.
The reason we ask you to remove your cape/aura is, as TG said, for lag reasons. I for one wouldn't be able to handle a raid on my PC if everyone was wearing capes/auras. For the raid to be a success, we all have to make sacrifices and by not making sacrifices you're letting everyone down. Besides which, surely you want the raid to succeed? If you don't, why are you coming?
As for the Invul being lit up like a christmas tree, if you had read the raid guide you would know that the only toggle you need is your mez protection (in Invuls case, Unyielding). The other toggles do nothing against Hamidons damage and that of the mitos, since it's all untyped and will hit you for 100% damage through any shield you happen to be running.

As I said in my post above, if you actually read the raid guide we said that you can come in whatever colour you like as long as you don't have a cape or an aura.
I will bring my 45..
Could the raid-leader post the plan in a seperate thread and tell people to "pretty please with sugar on top don't make posts in this thread and if you have suggestions on the plan PM the raid leader so he can alter the original post" or something?
