what do people think of the idea that in sirens itself

1 - no xp gain/debt in the zone
2 - the side that is out numbered gets assistance from mobs, maybe in the form of a few mobs that work ambush style on highest number side, or highest bounnty on side with most people. After all how often is sirens a good fight and how often is it a base camp by one side or other.
3 - Make the buffs/debuffs apply to the missions in pvp zones as well, or make the missions apposable, a new contact you can go to that tells you current missions in progress. Then give them an xp boost if there is conflict resulting in deaths (which do give debt).

Some vague thoughts.

1) I think you stop gaining xp when you hit a certain lvl not long after the lvl limit, or perhaps it's the lvl limit itself. I think they should leave debt in if you happen to be defeated by npc's, as otherwise you could mass infamy/influence absolutely risk free. It adds to the danger too which I like and tactics also; in that if a player positions him or herself by a Warden you'll probably charge in knowing you can't get debt. I was for no debt for a while in pvp zones for the reason that it may make the atmosphere 'friendlier', but don't think in the long run that will stop people's temper's flaring if they are heading that way anyway.

2) I like this idea. The odd mob gets mixed up in the two sides battle a lot of times, esspecially at the point where one hotspot is, as lots of Tsoo seem to hang there. But it would be neat if occasionally you got Warriors or Tsoo pounding on the winning side because they also want control of the zone.

They should abandon all the debt and xp in the (exterior) zone as it is inherantly unfair, anyone over lvl 30 can accumulate huge amounts of debt there but cannot get XP so where is the reward from the risk?

That's the ideea, players to stop using npcs as cover. I come to sirens to fight players not overpowered wardens that give leadership buffs, heal or debuff me.

No debt/xp is ok.
Mobs aiding one side, i don't like that ( if i want pve i'll go do missions, not come to sirens ). It could work in some way though.
And 3rd ideea is ok, sort of

Not a bad idea in itself but I would hate for a NPC to walk up and steal my glory or save my sorry behind

Would be nice to have something to balance it out a bit when one side is outnumbered since most players dont bother trying. I'll have to think about this for a bit and get back to ya if i can come up with a half decent idea

1) Establish a proper PvP board within the game

2)Remove PvP rep limit and scale PvP rep to Ranks

3)Link PvP Ranking to extra bonuses that can be

a)PvP emotes
b)Pimp powers with no damage or any effect at all
c)Special costume parts
d)Special Auras
e)Special Temp powers

3)Remove debt and xp in PvP zone
4)Create CTF situation in Sirens

Do this and you ll see the PvP zones flourish

Raise lvl cab from lvl 30 to lvl 32
would be more fun for MM and controllers that way.
I know there is Warburg but thats not hero vs villains

The point is you are still fighting the player. It still surprise's me how many player's wish pvp to become a battle of statisics and slotting. Don't run. Don't hide. Don't use that Warden to heal you. Don't use that Blue Ink Man to debuff your enemy.

Although I'd love to use my last primary power and would be fun because more people would have pets, I thinking maybe the reason they did it is so 8 man teams of Blasters don't overlap Nova or the like.

How am i fighting the player when he gets backup from npcs ? isn't that fighting the player and a boss npc ?

If you want to fight someone in a sterile environment, the PvP zones are not the place to be (Protip: Arena). Cheap as hiding by NPCs might be, it's no more cheap than SJing to the top of a building to escape an SSer, or mezzing someone and then running. Tactics are more than just "pres butan".

People should be allowed to fight dirty if they want to, maybe take out the debt from NPC's though. Not sure about NPC's helping out outnumbered players but it would be good to somehow try and balance the sides a bit when one is heavily outnumbered.

Well I posted something under suggestion at one point which was mainly PvP based. Never got any replies etc. there so will link it here.

Suggestion for PvP

Anyways we are going off Topic. I think what confess is trying to get at is a way to create some kind of balance in sirens (maybe other zones as well) where as it's current state its mostly overwhelming odds switching back and forth between heroes and villains (number wise). I could be wrong though and that's not what she meant

and TG I do agree with you on some of you ideas. A bit more incentive to play the PvP part of the game would be a nice added touch.

Still thinking about an idea Flick, let me get back to ya *scratches head*

I know that having npc gangs fighting would add more atmosphere for me, than having temp power snowman or like fighting my cause.

As a mastermind I think the extra setup time required might detract from the speed of some of the pvp battles as pointed out Warburg allows these powers to be used and the upcoming Recluses Victory will be Heroes vs Villains.

The debt from Siren's call doesn't really bother me, once you hit the debt cap it doesn't matter any more and is only really a problem for people popping into PVP and then going back to pve, a couple of missions exemped down will fix that. I would suggest that a Hero kill could clear a sizable chunk of debt although I imagine that could be abused.

IMO Siren's is just fine and I think its the most popular PVP zone at the moment.
