Nah don't judge so quickly. 
Lately I've been playing rather extensively on defiant apart from my original home Union. And i like it there too!
There is no real comparison possible apart from maybe that i find defiant a bit more relaxed and Union a bit more hardcore.
N00bs, bastids, good people, ignorants, sweeties are to be found on both servers. Don't let one or two sods fool you into believing otherwise. Give defiant a fair chance, you might like it there too 
This time on bandcam... err... Union, this one other hero looked at me the wrong way... I decided to stick with Defiant!
You can't judge an entire server on the back of that! I've been on Defiant since last March (I think) and this has never happened to me.

Actually, I have never had anyone griefing me at 3 am in the morning on union ever.

Well, hrmpf probably my luck but I have a few toons on defiant actually I have only one slot left. But I have yet to be on a decent team etc. I have just had a really bad time >< It truly suckzorz my boxorz (or would if I had any) What happened last night was more or less the final straw. I mean there were three people in all of Hollows, me, a moron, and a pb. Three people. And one of them has to stalk me around and spoil my fun 
. See the only reason I went into hollows at that time was.
a) I couldn't sleep and was bored.
b) I honestly thought that I would be left alone and would avoid the normal hollows frustrations.

I personally don't think any server sucks. I have just yet to be lucky on defiant and find some good people to play with. Which hasn't happened in the month or so I have been playing on defiant. On the union server I managed to get picked up by a fantastic sg after playing the game for a week.

Don't assume, it's true. Every country, every city, every town, every village, every server has nice people and idiots. I was meerly replying to the OP who assumed that Defiant is a 'nasty' server because he met one 'nasty' person. If you give up on anything after one bad experience you won't get far.

Then give Pyra or myself (Globals:Famke/Pyra) an ingame tell and we will get you into the Femmes SG. I am sure your impressions of Defiant will change for the better then. We are a large all female toon SG (with probably a 75 to 25% split - male/female RL)

I must say that after tonight I am not very impressed. Trying to get my poor little rad/rad def up from level 6 I foolishly deside to venture into the Hollows, thinking that: "oh well at least I'll level up fast here". Instead of having the pleasure of bouncing around cute little trolls and poking outcasts... I have the joy of beeing stalked by a higher level guy. At 3 am. Sorry... actually it was 3:30 am. ARGHHHHHHHHH.
I just don't see the pleasure this little boy may have had in doing that? A level 6 fighting a level 5 group of trolls, two debuffs running, full health, almost full end. Thinking to myself: hehehe this is rather amusing. Then BOOOM. They all die -_-.
Hrm I think I'll just stick to union after all.
