One major point Xiro. Every Raid I have nbeen on nothing seems to work to target through our point man targeter. And I know alot of ppl have this problem. We can target the point man but we dont get his target. So it tends to be a case of try and spot him and go for his target. Not easy in a raid full of heroes.
I know short of the dev team reprogramming to fix this before the raid we cant do anything about this. I just thought it should be born in mind during Mito clearing this is a limitation.
actually this is nothing major since the targets are not hard to spot all u need is locate Targeter and follow him around.Is not hard to see what he is attacking and go for it.
Actually, what I do is change the setting in the options for naming heroes to turn off all hero names apart from the one selected. That way only Xiro is highlited amongst the crowd, makes it much easier to spot where he is and then I set him to follow as well, spamming attacks as necessary.

One thing I forgot to add, We are gonna have a monster watch team after the mito clearing, to keep watch for any repeat performances from Spacemonkeh and co. Apart from that, its the same as normal.

using low awakens is ok due to insane heal rate in there...
Yep, perfectly fine to use L1 awakens, You should be healed pretty much instantly with all the healing spam.
I've finally gotten my empath defender to level 50, but i've gotta go out in a bit. Will I still be able to join in if i get there about half 7? obviously once the raid has started then i definately won't be able to, but this is my first chance to take part in a Hamidon raid and i really don't wanna miss it.

Just disapointed the the behaviour of a few through ignorance in some cases but pure malice in others that made the raid fail.
E.D. didnt play as much of a part in the failure as did the pratish behaviour or a couple of players who are intent on making future raids impossible.
At this time im questioning weather it will be worth participating in another raid if there people cannot be kept in check.
I would hate to have to count how many petitions were filed against those invovled but i doubt anything will be done about it. its a sad thing that the admin seem to be more interesed in regular subs from a few morons then the gaming experince of 100 players i hope im wrong and banning or suspension action is taken but i seriously doubt it.
I would assign the cause of the failure as 98% ED/2% behavioural. We would have succeeded on any previous raid with the level of participation we had tonight

Not sure if idiocy ruined the raid as such, we'd have failed anyway I think (not that I'm an expert, but it never 'felt' right to me).

i am sorry to say so openly but the Support should really look deeper in some accounts in there. During the whole night the same Monkey that screwed up one of previous raids came to just try screw this one as well. Well enough is enough with people like this that abuse the efforts of 100 people towards a common goal just because they got nothing better to do and is the only way to get some attention. Just wanted to let u know cause i know u ll read this although there is no KoS list in CoH/CoV yet i see u in any PvP zone u ll die loads.People like this should be banned permanently and i sent another petition with full chat logs explaining the reason you need perma banned and seriously if u dont get banned i am gonna make an issue out of this.

Last night, Spacemonkehh informed me (yes he's my younger brother) that you were attempting another Hamidon raid, knowing of his previous stunt which I found utterly dumb and lame of him (and I almost beat him up for that), I asked him if he was going to do something stupid again that would ruine the fun of alot of players. He replied: No, this time I'm going to help them get Hamidon down.
This morning he told me that the raid went wrong yesterday, because someone did the same he did last time.
Seeing you reply just makes me wonder how old you are, seriously, have you ever thought about throwing Spacemonkehh in your friendslist so you could target him and see where he was? Don't blame this on a certain someone, and find out who was doing it at that time.
This is not America where they have a 'guilty till proven otherwise' policy. We have a 'not guilty till proven otherwise' policy.
Or as they say on World of Warcraft (yes, I play both WoW and CoH): stop whining and get more information before you accuse someone for something he did not did.

I must have been at a different raid than you. Spacemonkehh did not do any griefing that I was aware of. There was just one invasion of the jelly by a giant monster and that was at the start of the mito clearing stage. There is nothing to suggest that Spacemonkehh had anything to do with that. During the holding phase he was in the holding group. Whether he was holding or attacking doesn't matter - I was just happy that he was somewhere we could keep an eye on him. I detested his behaviour at the raid he griefed into failure but he should not be made a scapegoat for a raid that failed through lack of holding ability.
The epicentre of most of the aggro last night was another player. This other player also did not do anything that warrants banning as far as I'm concerned. He asked stupid questions and talked [censored] on broadcast and request a lot but that's not a bannable offense (if it was there would be a dozen people banned after every raid). If everyone had just ignored this other player then everyone would have had a much more peaceful night. Instead people kept reacting and throwing insults back at him. Such mature behaviour from the COH community

Thanks to the organisers - Great job once again guys. The reason for failure? IMHO 90% ED, 10% Griefers and PL'd n00bs. Let's face it our holds are really ganked, as is the damage we can dish out.
I have been on raids where we did pretty much the same as last night and took 2 hours to "hold" the blob. He then broke free, but we poured the damage on and won the day. ED has severeley reduced our DPS and Hold duration/recharge. A number of peeps I hadn't seen for a while, due to CoV mainly, were pretty surprised at their heal numbers, their recharge rates, the demise of perma-hasten etc. Way to go Dev's - you have managed to ruin pretty much the only high level community event we have. (I don't class sitting in Warburg and slapping -25 villains about as an event)
To the griefers and PLers - Stay away. You spoil for all what should be a fun gathering. As far as SM goes, I did not see him perform as he did on that infamous night, so I can't comment on his antics. However there appeared to be plenty of idiots more that happy to take up his mantle and attack Hami before we were ready, use request channel and generally behave like very small children. I even saw one spam he was bored, FFS! If you are bored then sod off, as we don't want you there.
I suspect that until they repeal some of the idiotic changes brought in by ED or they nerf Hami to the same degree they nerfed us, I'm gonna spend some quality time in the Rogue Islands.

Anyone over level 45 is welcome to attend the raid, Sadly if you're below 45 you wont be able to get into the zone.
The meetup for the raid is set for 7pm UK Time, With a view to start the raid at 8pm. Remember to bring awakens cause its very likely that you're gonna eat some dirt at some point during the raid.
It's up to yourself to form your own teams for the raid, Try and make sure you have an empath in the team, and somebody with group fly, If possible.
This excludes Illusion controllers, They will have their own specific team, Which i'll detail later on.
Its also important that you have a specific colour coded costume for the raid, Details are as follows:
Blasters: Red
Controller: Purple
Defenders: Blue
Scrappers: Yellow
Tankers: Black/Grey
Kheldians: Light Blue
And please remember, No capes or Auras to minimize lag.
If you have a hold, Please also include a small purple detail in your costume.
Please remember to stay off of the Request Channel during the raid, This is for the use of raid leaders only, to keep the plan clear.
Strategy:
After we assemble at the platform inside the Hive (team leaders will be able to show you where this is), Illusion controllers will be organised into a seperate team, with somebody with group fly. They will then hover above Hamidom himself, and drop Phantom Armies spread around the jelly, to draw some of the aggro away from the rest of the raiders.
NO other pets are allowed during the first phase.
Once the Decoys are in place, the Hamidon Tank and his team of emapths will move into the jelly, to get the aggro of the Nucleus, This is to keep the very nasty AoE away from the rest of the raiders.
After the Hamidon Tank has the aggro, and has given us the go, The Targeter and the rest of the raiders will enter the jelly. The Targeters purpose is to pick out Mitochondria for everybody else to attack, And you should ONLY attack his or her target. The targeter will move the group around the bubble, clearing as they go. Yellow mitos first, and then Blue/Green mitos after that.
The easy way to keep track of the Targeter, is to put him/her on your friends list, and click on the name there, if you lose track of him.
The general rule for the first phase, is that if you're attacking something that isnt Yellow, you're on the wrong target, And please try to refrain from using AoE attacks, as this could get you unwanted aggro.
At no stage during the raid, Should you ever attack Hamidon. This could draw the aggro away from the Hamidon tank, and pull the AoE attack onto the raiders
Once all the mitos have been defeated, everybody will be called to leave the bubble, Except for the Hamidon Tank and his team. Once everybody has left the jelly, Everybody with a hold will re-enter the the jelly and group up next to the Nucleus.
Once everybody is in place, People should cast their buffs, Such as recovery aura, and more importantly Accelerate Metabolism, to speed up the holding. At this point people should start spamming holds at the nucleus, And keep on casting the buffs.
NOTE: Hold Slotting. Before issue 6 it was preferable for people to 6 slot their single target hold with hold duration. Due to ED this isnt taking full potentional of the hold now. Possibly slotting could be 3 Hold, 3 Recharge. Let me know if you have any other ideas on this front.
At this point, The only pets that should be used are Dark Servants and Singularites.
If you lose target of Hamidon, and its quite possible that you will due to lag, Click on a pet and target through them. They will never lose target, No matter how bad the lag.
Once Hamidon gets held for a period of time, People with ranged attacks will be called in to attack. Its important that you stay at the max range possible, to minimize the lag for the holding team.
At no point during the attack should the holding team stop using holds, its VITAL that you continue spamming holds because if Hamidon breaks free, He will spawn one Yellow Mito for every hero in the hive.
Once Hamidons health approaches the 50% marker, There will be a call on the request channel for Vanguards to be used by the holding team. This is to make certain that Hamidon stays held for the rest of the attack, as if he breaks free, Doom will ensue.
After that, Hamidon falls, and we party to Atlas
