U may use the term sarcastically to mean idiot but I thought everyone knew 1337 stood for elite. Own or vaiations like pwnd means to totally get one over on your opponent.
Lhama or lamer - means a player who uses a tactic which is considered cheap (like spawn killing), or uses the same tactic over and over which requires little skill.
Ah you have got to love the variations in meaning. To someone that uses the, for want of a better word, word 1337 it means elite. To people that think numerical representation of letters is something used by people of lesser intellect, it means "I am an idiot please watch me get killed"

There's another one, used on the forums and short for 'Quick Reply' - which will show you replying to the last poster in the thread - to explain that there's nothing personal to the person you are replying to in a possibly contentious post.
Oh, and rwwwwwwwsssssssaaaaa F1 F1 F7 gah! - which is short for, whoops, I seem to have set off auto run and found myself in the middle of a group of enemies while trying to type something witty!

Seriously, I don't mind text speak, but if someone overuses it, then it does get annoying. It shows that they can't speak English...or any other language. Actually, I heard somewhere that it was a registered language...if so PLEASE don't roll it across schools around the world...if you wanna teach 'em it just get them a mobile phone!
