Apparently Increased Density will soon be offering protection from teleport foe, so I'll have to squeeze that into my build somewhere if we ever go PvP. It's also about the only defender buff to offer protection to knockback.

Only downside is it has a ridiculously low duration - bad enough trying to keep up with speed boost! I gather both have half the duration of shields

Sprint and Recall Friend are for other Archetypes. We don't need them. We have Speed Boost and Inertial Reduction!

Since most of the Force Field line is a little bit [censored], I'll only be taking Dispersion Bubble for now, maybe a couple of the fun knockback powers like Repulsion Bomb later. Before playing yesterday I was very tempted to take Detention Field (a single target Phase bubble), but I honestly don't think we'll need it now. Defender teams tear through things so quickly that any mob a team would usually love to get rid of (Tsoo Sorcerers) will already be dead before the animation finishes. So most of my picks will come from the blast set.

Ugh, buffing as a Kinetic. It's a harsh, harsh life. Don't beat yourself up trying to keep Increase Density on the team, the extra resists aren't much next to the Sonic shields and the knockback protection can usually be ignored since with the Rad debuffs things just won't be hitting us

Try using it like you would use O2 Boost or Clear Mind. Reaction rather than prevention

Well it also has the advantage of slowing the target, which with speed boost on, might be rather appreciated

Increase Density does not free an ally from sleep or stun effects. So it is important than we say 'held' we are actually held and not sleeping. Or we could just make it the empaths task to keep CM on us or react to us getting held. CM has a good duration and can be applied in advance.

Well, yesterday in my ill state Doulos needed a partner for his tank... so I rolled a rad/rad and they are awesome. So when there's a space and I'm around Syph can have an even more effective suicidal partner! The names Alpha-strikeand she seriously owns!

Hi all. Was a good team and the session went really same it didn't last long as I'm sure we could have taken those 15's.

I won't be on for next Tuesday as it is my week of 3-11. I'll get precip up to lvl 12/13 in the mean time, ready to rock for the week after.

Oh BTW I took grant invis @ lvl 10 so we can all get about a bit easier.

Well as for us mere mortals who went back to Atlas et al, meet at Hollows entrance?

I was thinking we could possibly draft Rad Rangers in to fill in for people who can't attend for one reason or another? Larac has said he can't make it this week. We'll keep Bubble's place free being as he's just going to be late, so that's one spot open this week. I'll put the word out - that is to say I'll post on the RadRangers thread.

Had a great evening. 7 out of the 8 showed up. The amount of buffs we get before a fight is getting huge

I think we only had 1 casualty besides the effects of the dare of gathering up the entire room of pumicites, still with some more planning that could've worked out!

It's all good. And yeah, the herdng could definitely have worked with a little planning and forethought - but I think the whole point of it was the distinct lack of those properties And I actually managed to survive and speed away to safety after everyone dropped - thankfully my heal was actually hitting quite reliably last night! Sadly kinetics has nothing in the way of resurrection. Oh, and in case anybody missed it, I got Tactics

So what level is everybody at now?

I was thinking we could start on Posi in the next week or two, although I'd like to hold out until everybody can attend, and then hopefully have everybody attend for the finish as well.

Y'know, when I said "I think we should pull this entire room" it was actually a joke

Sorry about dropping out early like that. The flood of stampeding Igneous threw my video card for a loop and I crashed out about 10 seconds into the fight. Would have been back straight away, but I couldn't fire my PC back up until the card had cooled down.


Posi sounds pretty awesome. Hopefully we can get everyone near 14 soon.

Hey I'm not the only one with a crispy video card! It's been pretty good to me recently actually, since I stopped using the room fan and put the side of the case back on - started getting the occasional graphic glitch again but it isn't crashing out after 5 minutes in-game like it was.

My thoughts on Posi are, we've already got a lvl 14 (complete with Tactics *happy dance*), at least a couple of 13s and then everyone else should be 10+ or at least very close to 10. That's why I wanted to know what level everyone is. By the time the TF is over, the 10s should be more like 13 or 14, and the 14 should be 16 and earning influence in preparation for new DOs at 17

The entire team should be near 17 at the end of Posi anyway. Great way to equalise the level difference.

And if we're not all equal, we'll just run through Synapse 2x and it'll be good

Sadly you stop earning experience as soon as you hit 16, so we'd all be lvl 16 by the end. Still, it'd give us a chance to visit the Doc Vazhilok story arc before doing Synapse

Do those settings affect task forces? If so I'd be sorely tempted to suggest heroic for Posi and move it up for the rest of them, because Posi was always a pain in the behind (bloody Ruin mages, how I hate thee)

It's the Vahzilok I'm not looking forward to. All that Toxic damage will cut right through my bubbles and the Reaper darts will slow our attacks more than Speed Boost can deal with. And with an 8-man team, there will be a ton of Embalmed to have fun with >_<

The mission slider won't change the TF missions because everything in a TF is set to the max level range, which means everything should be 16-17. I say should because I remember one eventful Positron task force where every single Circle of Thorns spawn had a level 25 Ruin Mage. We had rooms full of the things. Near-permanant knockdown. We were owned several times.

That bug's been fixed, though. I hope
