defenders get all the nice convos with idiots it seems 
had a few on my kinetic:
"Can you heal"
"Yes i can" (why would i be lying if i got transfusion?)
Join the team only to act as the offender (as i usually do)
Havent fired a single transfusion, then get a message in team chat:
"Nice healing!"
"I didn't heal a thing"
"OMG! Why u not healin?!?!?!?!?!?!"
"You only asked if I could, I never said I was actually gonna heal"
Of course the classic, asking a kin to rez:
"Rez me!"
"Love to.."
"REZ ME!"
"Like I said, I'd love to"
"FFS! y u not rezzing me?!"
"Would love to...
...if you explained to me HOW"
Then one in a team I was in quite a while ago, doing hollows mishes. Team setup: 4 blasters, scrapper (me) and a bubbler. Leader, genious as he is, explains the plan:
him: "Scrapper go in first, then we all blast and healer keeps us alive!"
me: "uhm... yeah... about that... we havent got a healer yknow" (ps, I normally prefer not to use the term healer, but these ppl tend not to know other terms like "buffer" or "defender" )
"yes we do"
"ehhh... no we dont"
"what r u? u n00b?" *points at bubbler*
(riiiight... think i'll hang back for this battle)
after battle, blasters die, me n the bubbler survive, bubbler green, me almost dead
"ffs! y u not heal?!"
"I told you, he's a bubbler, not a healer"
*kicks the bubbler from team*
Left shortly after, teamed with the bubbler and we kicked some troll booty
"god, how many devs did hami have to sleep with to get ED?"

Got a tell asking if I'd help on the first TV respec mission so thought "Why not?". I was the only Defender on the team. Made it as far as the first large room in TV. After the first fight the leader (and Tank) says....
"Stop using that green [censored] (RI and EF) and just heal!"
"That green "[censored]" is what's keeping you alive and means I have to heal less."
"I don't care. Stop wasting end on it and just heal me!!"
1 or 2 team-wipes later (except me because I ran for the door 
)...
"So...want me to start using the green "[censored]" again?"
"k"
Unsurpsingly I don't think we ever completed the respec but it was fun .
I have just read this thread for the first time. It had me in stitches and is so so true!
Level 27 empath, been there, had these conversations.... *sigh*

I have a level 50 ill/emp controller. It always amuses me when people tell me to stop with the illusion stuff and just heal.
After Mr Psychic Babbage hands the team their rears a few times, I step in and show them WHY I should use my primary more.
Skull Bender was my first 50. He was in a great group levelling with an inv/ss tanker and dark/inv scrapper, amongst others. I could never figure out why everyone was so glad to see me whenever I brought him online. To me, he was just a healer, leeching most of his xp. I really didn't like him very much.
After levelling my inv/axe tanker, I now understand.
I used to use the Empathy as my 'in' on teams, not realising that both of my sets were so powerful, but using everything I had anyway. Now I get it.
Defenders, however... confuse me. I have a level 27 bubble/energy defender, he's neat and all, but has a total of 2 of his energy set powers. I'll pick up Nova, but I can't think of anything else I want from the set (haven't looked really). I guess that's why I'm addicted to controllers, they just seem to be the best at all-round stuff.
Shrug.
I used to play my Rad/Rad defender, I enjoyed very much to play with my mates Golden Golem, thePhilosopher and Rooks (as they know how to play with a Rad def), but when i stopped palying with them (as they reach 50) I got bored of saying people how my powers work... They always killed my anchor first, and most people only appreciates my Radiant aura and accelerate metabolism... It is hard to find ppl who really knows how to play in a team with a Rad defender...

That, imho, is the best rule you can ever have when playing with PuG.
I dunno, I just stand at the back and be extra vigilant for that moment when you know its gonna wipe...
I have the /En deficiency too. Level 33 and only 4 energy powers. I figure I want at least a couple more. FS+Nuke makes a big mess of large mobs, but at the moment I need someone else to pull it off....
