Ok so I have been playing my SS/INV brute an i love playing him. I have read some of the previous boards an taken some of the advice and of course tweaked it a little my way. I do pretty good but I just can't get the endurance drain right on this guy. He is sucking endurance like Margarita's on payday. Any advice would be greatful. Thank you!

Ok, there are quite a few glaring issues I see here. So, I'm just going to re-build your brute with Common IOs using the same power selection...except Acrobatics...drop that [censored].

Basically, attacking is the biggest culprit in terms of endurance woes and slotting end reducers goes a long way. Also, Rage + Hasten will eat up your endurance quickly due to their crashes. Use them wisely.

Anyways, take a look at what I did here:

I used common IOs to give you an idea of how much end reduction you might want to plan for in each attack. The crashes from Rage and Hasten will chew up 75% of your endurance, IIRC. That's alot, so you need to make up for it elsewhere in your build.

I did this by slotting 2 end reduction in each attack and 1 in each armor (2 in Tough since it's a end heavy toggle).

The other way is with Set IOs. There so many different ways to achieve +end and +recov that it might be best to learn about them first then trying to go by some uber build in a guide.

I will say the easiest way is to add a 4th slot to stamina (you can take one from Boxing) and drop in the +end proc from Performance Shifter. Shoot, even 2 End Mod IOs + the proc is better then just 3 IOs.

Feel free to ask some more questions. I'll be lurking most of the day.

Nothing to do with Endurance management, per se, but I'd recommend getting Unyielding at around level 16 and get Dull Pain at level 6 (I think it opens at 4?). You can push Swift/Health back to some point before Stamina at 20 although this might mean pushing Hasten back to AFTER Stamina.

Do you really -need- Tough (and hence, Boxing as well)? I am not sure what I got in their place, and I know some people swear that Tough is ~required~... I've done quite fine without it, though. And Tough is another End Drain that I don't have to deal with. Although, as noted above, the attacks are where endurance really gets sucked down. At least two End Reducers in each attack, for sure, and three-slotted Stamina (or more if you are going for a set, etc).

My Dark Armor brute lucked into a +End proc IO enhancement that is a nice boost to that endurance-heavy powerset - might be something to look at if you want an extra edge. And of course the accolade that gives +total endurance (Born In Battle, I believe: have fun getting the damage-taken badge... I had to break down and artificially grind it at level 50 :P )

Ok so both you guys mentioned 3 slotted endurance, is it not worth getting Performance Shifter for stamina then an 6 slotting it. Also, any one, feel free to throw in set bonus that would help nicely too. Mind you purples are out of my monetary range but a nice mid range set could be obtained, or perhaps a specific IO would be ok.

As far as FIGHTING goes I was always border line on getting it or not, I know some school of thoughts are its needed but if its a power pool set then is it REALLY needed.

Again, any comments suggestion greatly appreciated. THANK YOU.

Impervium Armor for resistance sets has a nice +recov and Gift of the Ancients for defense sets has a nice +recov and +end.

There is more, of course, but I don't feel like searching through them all.

Three endurance redusctions in your Invulnerable toggles is overkill, you only need one per toggle. What is killing you is Tough and Acrobatics. You have no endurance reduction in those at all and they use almost twice as much endurance as your Invulnerable toggles.

Also, Combat jumping has a very low endurance use, but I'd put one in there anyways. Just remove the one you have in Super Jump...there is no reason to waste a slot by putting an endurance redux in super jump.

There is no reason to waste a slot putting an endurance reduction in Combat Jumping either. Putting this End Red enhancement in any attack power would be vastly superior.

You need to put at least 2 Endurance Reducers in each of your atatcks until you start getting into IO sets. 1 Endurance reducer in each of your toggles will do fine. Slot your attacks for accuracy and 2 Endurance Reduction 1st. Let Fury take care of damage for a while. Slot for damage as you can later. Make sure you get Stamina at 20 and slot it ASAP.

I have a 50 SS/INV brute (my main villain) and I took Boxing, Tough, and Weave. Slot Tough with at least 1 Endurance Reducer and don't take Weave until you're close to 50. Try not to spam attacks too often and you should be fine.

In terms of IO's these are ones to go four:

Impervium Armor: 2 slots = recovery bonus, 3 slot = psi defense (remember the psi hole of invul!), 4 slots increases overall stamina

Gift of the Ancients: 2 slotting gives recovery bonus, try to get the 7.5% run booster one as an extra bonus.

6 slotting stamina is no good per the rules of Enhancement Diversification. 4 slot it with Performance Shifter and make sure one of them is the +endurance proc.

Super Jump is a travel power and should not be run during combat, drop a slot from it and change the one slot to a Jump/End Red IO.

Rage: 5 slot it with either the Guassian Set (except the chance for build up, fires rather infrequently), or the Adjusted Targeting Set. That will aid you in getting the ever popular permarage, as well as some of each set has end reduction to aid when the power goes off again.

Use Hasten against EB/AV fights, try not to use it all the time.

You really do NOT need Acrobatics with the Invul set. Drop that power, if you really want Tough put Tough were you have Acrobatics and then take the L35 power of the Invul set.

Dull Pain: 5 slot it with Miracle for the set bonuses(including recovery bonus) but dont waste the +recovery proc in Dull Pain, if you get THAT particular IO, install it into Fitness/health so that it is always on. (same with Numina regen/recovery)

Unstoppable: 4 slot with either 2 recharge and 2 resistance or else 4 slot it with Impervium Armor.

Tough: 4 slot with Impervium for the set bonuses.

Add some Impervium and/or Gift of the Ancients to Invincibility for the recovery bonus, 3 end red is a bit of overkill.

Knockout Blow and Footstomp eats a ton of end when used back to back repeatedly. My build is completely IO'd and it can still chew through endurance. When Footstomp is out of the equation you can go all day with a full bar. Just don't spam it every chance that its up and you'll be up to speed for the next mob.

- Miracle: +Recovery
- Numina's: +Regen/Recovery
- Performance Shifter: Chance +Rec
- Panacea: Chance +Heal/Rec

I'd shoot for these as they've helped me a lot with my build.

You can get away with 1x Res IO and be capped at 90% so you can either use the slot elsewhere. Once your build is nearly complete you can get away without Unstoppable with 1x slot or skip it entirely for something else.

I've had endurance problems soloing so icame up with this build to maximize dmg/recharge/end-red

Here's my SS/Inv brute who I have an abosulte blast playing. I built her to push the HP cap, withstanding as much punishment as possible, soak it all into Fury and deliver the hurt on foes.

I just need to get the Obliteration set, one more LOTG 7.5 and replace the Ruin in Mu Lightning with three from the Apocalypse set for the 3% HP and I think I'll be set

I don't have mids here at the moment. I spec'd mine to cap max hp (fell a lil short) with Dull Pain. Just curious how much you squeezed into it. I'd share mine but its nearly half slotted with PvP recipes.

Managed to pick up 3,157hp on SS/Invuln Brute.

I don't recallt he exact number. Mid's seems a bit off compared to what the actual numbers are in-game. I think with what I currently have, I'm about 3022 with DP up.
