hmm, an end sapping tank certainly makes for an interesting take on tanktrolling...

Is on the edge of my seat. My favorite tank is an ice/fire tank because of the aoes. Electric with the addition of good endurance sapping potential. Is feeling guilty might have to give the "its not you its me..." speech to my current favorite tank.

I'm also tempted to roll up an Ice/Elec Tanker once I16 comes out. Energy Absorption plus the -End secondary effect of Elec's attacks do seem nice, although an Elec/Elec Tanker would probably be a better sapper because of Lightning Field.

In terms of End sapping, I would go with Ice/Elec. Or Fire/Elec due to Consume. In terms of synergy, I would go with DM for the Dark Consumption end drain and the heal (Siphon Life). If indeed it is an End Drain monster you wish to have, I would go with Elec/DM.

I don't have much experience with sapper builds, but I believe -recovery is at least as important as -end in making them work. As such I would guess that Elec Melee is far and away the best choice for the secondary.

Ice by itself can keep mobs at the bare minimum of endurance by firing EA when it comes up constantly.

Kind of. The bare minimum of endurance is as good as, or nearly as good as, full endurance for many critters, since their recovery often approximates or outstrips their endurance usage. You are likely to see some mitigation in the short term, but they should be up and running again long before your next EA unless you have a ridiculous amount of recharge.
This is my experience with Ice, which is significant but certainly not exhaustive. I'd be interested to hear what others have found.

Dark Consumption doesn't suck endurance from enemies, it sucks their life and turns it into your endurance. Ice/DM synergizes well for the other reasons you mention though.
Just the other day, though, I noticed Energy Absorption draining half the endurance from spawns, and wondered if Electric Melee could drain the rest.
I don't know why no one has mentioned this, but I think the BEST Tank after i16 is what I call.....

You pretty much won't die, you drain their endurance, and slow them down. How is this NOT Win?
Stone/Ice is better at survival than a stone/elec would be due to Ice Patch and -rech.
I don't know why everyone has their panties in a knot over electric melee's endurance drain effects - stuff dies before endurance matters 90% of the time. 5% of the time you or your team lacks DPS to get the job done fast enough and so endurance may be a vital asset you can strip away. 5% of the time you are facing purple mobs that endurance drain is useless against due to the purple patch.

Ok, so, I don't have much experience with Tanks, my highest being a Ice/SS and a DA/EM, both at CL15.
Now, with Elec coming to Tanks, I'm wondering if Ice/Elec will synergize well, and where it would stand, performance wise.
If anybody has any thoughts on this, feel free to share ;p
