What to do with my reward merits
Personally? I'd just buy it with the merits. Having money to buy something doesn't matter when it's not for sale. After that, do the same thing but buy your uniques for beaucoup bucks.
I assume you have a bid in for it in case it becomes available? Because that would solve your problem if your bid was suddenly filled.

If you put up a classified ad here you might get one... how much would you pay for it? 50 million?

So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.
Get the pricey item. Sell it. Put in bids for several levels of the IO that you want. Play the game. Check in to the market regularly until you get the IO you want. Cancel other bids, or keep the bids there and sell those IOs for a profit once you finally get them. If there are never any on the market, that means that when they do sell they are undervalued.

When the 5% def are available, they almost always sell for less than 10M.

What freakin' set gives FIVE percent defense? No wonder you can't find any available.

This is what I want to get and there have been NONE for sale since i15 except at level 40, and that one sold within minutes.
Since Pool Cs come from bosses now... how successful might I be if I organized a level 15 farm to attempt to get one? Just how often do they come from bosses?
A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!
I don't think anyone knows for sure but I think it's usually stated they drop about as often as purples.
I have a 50 brute and 28 thugs/dark MM. I'm using my brute to get good IO's for my MM. I got him the Achille's, both 10% res, and the recharge intensive 5% def. But the pet damage 5% def is simply not available for sale.
So, the obvious thing to do is gather up those reward merits and purchase the stupid thing. But as I'm getting close, I now have 220 merits, I start taking a look at prices. When the 5% def are available, they almost always sell for less than 10M. And I start looking at the other recipes I can get for that number of merits. 7.5% recharge. Miracle +end. Numina +rech/+end. These are going for 50M to 200M. How can I justify getting a 10M recipe that is never for sale over a 200M recipe that is for sale?
So do I use the merits to get the heal uniques and just wait for the day when the stupid 5% def comes available? Or do I suck it up and do what I gotta do to get that pesky recipe? What are your thoughts?
Thanks.
