Just Kill the In-Game E-Mail System Already
But... but... I use the email system.

Seriously, it has lost all usefulness as a player tool.

EvilGeko is right, anything with the potential of driving spammers back into the chat system is NOT a good solution. At least the spammers are currently contained and aren't annoying players via /tells or broadcast channels.

or even just add a new button to "Delete All" emails at once rather than having to delete every message individually if you want to clear your email box.

Excellent idea. I recall precisely one email ever that wasn't spam, and it was telling me I'd been kicked out of the SG. Which I could pretty well tell already. It's spectacularly useless to me, and if I can't utterly disable it this is the next best thing. (If only I could ignore the red text....)
It still amuses me, in a really sad sort of way, that hitting the Spam button causes someone else to drop OFF my Ignore list. I just hit Delete now.
My solution: email IOs.
Every use of the spam button gives a 1 in 1000 chance of getting an email IO drop.

Posted a billion times before, but I'm still for it.
Yes, it is useless as a player tool for the most of us.
Yes, it is a great tool for RMT's.

I'd like to keep my spam trap, thank you very much.

I figure it's a long-gone spammer account that's dropping off anyway, since I never ignore anyone, so I keep using the Spam button to add new spam accounts to that long-gone list.

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

This again? Didn't we just have a thread on this a couple of weeks ago?
My answer remains the same: Do not remove the system. I use it. Others use it. It is not completely useless. Just because you don't, does not mean that no one does.
