Anyone know what the most damaging dom set is according to numbers and recharge?

I'll guess Mind/thorn?

I don't know about secondary, but I am pretty sure for a fact that Fire is the most damaging primary, You got Hot Feet and Fire Imps, some contraversy was to Plant/ vs Fire/ but those creepers and the extra damage of the AoE hold don't compare to those two powers and considering fire is the least resisted in the game more than likely most times when you are looking for damage Fire is where it is.

Again I wouldn't know about secondaries, but I have heard the for ST /Energy is now coming ahead, as for AoE I would think Fire, because you have Fire Breath which has been buffed.

Used to be Fire/Psi in most cases.

What specifics are you looking at? AOE? Single Target? PVE PVP Soloing? Teaming?

My mind/thorns certainly aren't hurting for damage. It seems to be a nice balance between cone and ST damage.

My 50 Mind/Energy is 100% stronger than before. She can take on a map full of carnies easily. My 50 Fire/Psi is still King of AoE IMHO. Which is something I'm very happy about. I was a little worried he'd be gimped beyond measure.


My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi

Nah, I'd put my money on Fire/Energy or Fire/Fire for single target damage king.

fire/fire is hands down st king. High recharge means high uptime on FE, means nothing even comes close. I'd be confident saying a high recharge fire/fire could put out 40% more damage than the next closest secondary.

Aoe? slotted+FE firebreath does 266 damage. Slotted psw+psyscream does 282 damage. As crappy as combustion is it can do 16 damage. That also discounts FE boosted hotfeet+cages

That said, fire/psy is still better at aoe over time, you don't have FE up constantly (over 50% is easy though) and both psy aoe's are entirely front-loaded, which compared to combustion. Well lets just say combustion is horrid. Additionally PSW hits 16 targets and DP is just amazing at fueling both the necessary survivability to pump out high aoe damage unfettered and to fuel the end costs.

I think ST damage is between /Fiery and /Energy. Power Push, Power Blast and Power Burst are pretty sweet right now as ST ranged combo.

I actually don't like Total Focus that much... but it's a signature move so I took it.


What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.

NRG is good for ST, but it certainly isn't better than Elec (though the gap is closer now). Build Up is the big difference, IMO.

Between Fire and Elec, I'd say Fire for Ranged and Elec for melee. With NRG coming up close in both categories.

I have to agree on Jibi on Total Focus. It's a fun power and I took it, but I find myself using it mainly as a follower to Wormhole to stun bosses.

hmm not sure how I feel about elec.

Lbolt = E bolt
Lblast < Eblast
charged brawl ~= Powerpush
Havoc = Bonesmasher
Thunderstike < Power burst (check it out they do the same damage, but PB is way faster, ranged, costs less end and recharges faster)
? = total focus

VS is really needed, but I don't see that many /elecs with it (could just be me though).

If we pretend we have very little recharge
In a ~10 sec burst /elec would use:
bu>charged>havoc>Lblast>Lbolt>charg ed>thunder
=1435 damage

In a ~10 sec burst /nrg would use:
PP>blast>bone>burst>PP>TF
=1472

/nrg pulls way ahead in sustained. However LS just keps plugging away and we'd need to agree upon an accepted expected value for it.

But really /elec needs buildup just to compete. It's almost like /nrg gets powerboost from free

*I realize I made a lot of assumptions in the above comparison, but bare in mind each set used 6 attacks AND /elec got to use build up (so 7 moves). But they both ran about the same time.
