Where is Faultline?
Go to Skyway City, then it's either on the north end or south end (honestly can't remember off the top of my head, it'll be on the map). You can also get there through the manhole cover exit in Pocket D.

Specifically, the Green Line end of Skyway.
Or if your SG has the beacon, you can set up a teleporter to Faultline, which would put you out on the roof of Yin's shoppe.
on a fault
Southern end of Skyway City.
Alternatively there's a Manhole cover in the Pocket D Blueside Entrance area (The path that leads to 3 zones? Right near the middle)

someone during in the game told me it off skyway city, but when i got there i didnt see it anywhere in the map....what exactly it it? is it a city, a section of skyway city, etc?
>.<
Go to skyway.
It's all the way south. You'll see the red marker for the Bloody Bay helicopter on the map in almost the same spot, as well. The entrance is just to the left (the "tunnel" through the wall.)
It's a completely separate zone.
Edit: Link, Vidiotmaps map of Skyway, with zone connection markers. Faultline's all the way in the south on the border.

Now we just need to explain how, once you're there, to find the secret lounge room, how to get to the other side of the dam, and how to find the entrance to the tunnels where some of the missions are.

For a long term souce of this kind of info, bookmak this site : http://cityofheroes.wikia.com/wiki/City_of_Heroes_Wiki
It'll tell you everything you need to know about a given zone, including the zones that link directly to it. (I know I've used it for that very same purpose)

You can also get there by going to Kings Row, then go to Pocket D. In the hallway before entering the main area you will see a hatch in the floor. You can take that there was well.

And it's on the paper map that comes with boxed CoX games....
....as Overbrook.
(Yeah, it's all very nice and immersive for the map to list all the city zones by their "official" and original names.... but it can be quite confusing for a new player trying to figure out where the heck they need to go.)
He actually goes by Jim Temblor when he's just your contact. It's later, in missions as an ally, that you'll find him as Faultline. Easy mistake to make. If you look South of the Hospital, you'll see him standing in front of a piece of memorial artwork.

good stuff you guys!
It's this that makes me cry a tear out of nostalgia. I remember thinking: "Where the heck is it?" more than a few times back in '04. I sometimes wish someone would hit me upside the head so I can forget everything about this game and go see it all for the first time again.
Or maybe just play without my glases. ~O^O~

Hmm, this thread is a refreshing breath of fresh air. I clicked it expecting a lot of snark about "well first you click the big doors on the AE to leave, then you look for a train station to leave AP. . . " but instead it was filled with useful advice and appreciation from the OP. Cheers all around, this community can be great
atleast i know now i'm not the only one who had a hard time finding faultline....
last night i was doing missions in faultine, and i formed a team twice....
the first time it took one of our guys almost half an hour to find faultline from within skyway city....
one of us actually ended up having to go get him and show him the way....lol
second time i formed a team same thing happens again, the guy couldnt remember how to get there, only this time, i gave him instructions and he found it quicker then the last guy....
*sigh*
here i go again....
can't find it....don't see it on the map....
anyone?
