If you don't like Freedom, no one is forcing you to stay. Next time you get to the server select screen, simply click on a different server.
Couple things I've learned:
1: Everyone wears blinders. They see only what they want to see.
2: Jumping to conclusions is fun.
3: Everyone hates Freedom.
4: Apparently "Farmers" outnumber "normal players" by a margin of 10 to 1. This is gamewide, not just on Freedom. Want proof? As we know from all these "Freedom Sucks" and "Gah! Farmers" posts everyone on Freedom is a Farmer (and probably an adolescent boy). And since at any given time Freedom has a higher population than EVERY OTHER SERVER combined, obviously "Farmers" outnumber "normal players"

I do, with no luck, most times other zones are vurtually empty, everyone is in AP.

Here's a few things that may help:
* Join an active SG.
* Use your server's global channels.
* Global friend other active players that you enjoy teaming with.
* Check your server section here on the forum and look for scheduled events.
Try one or more of those, and you should have no problems finding things to do.

Infinity isn't bad. Still AE spam messaging in Cap and Atlas, but other stuff going as well. Just ran a PuG LGTF the other night no problem. Ran through a few patron arcs with another PuG also.

I will second this. Infinitiy isn't bad at all. You still have spam in Cap and Atlas... but there other things going on as well. I tried Freedom.... and switched within a few days to infinity. Much Better! Yesterday in Atlas, there were more people trying to put together sewers then AE from what I could tell looking at the brodcast channel.

The first couple weeks it was hard to get a NON AE group. For a while about every other invite was for an AE group. The last couple weeks its been mostly TF and mission groups. As long as you avoid AP there is very little AE spam in broadcast. Keep in mind I dont actively form groups. I quite literally just turn on my LFG flag, make a comment in the global channel (Virtue LFG Alpha), then go about my day. This last week I am lucky to make it half way through a mission before I usually get my first /tell for a mission group.
I dont RP much at all, but in every MMO Ive played the RP server has the best people. Im awfully old so dont take that last sentence lightly. Ive been playing MMOs since the first days of Ultima Online
I can't wait till Going Rogue moves it from MA to Praetoria.

To the OP :
I have no problem joining a team, running task forces or strike forces on Freedom... However most of the AE teams are tagged "farms" there, and some ppl dont like this concept.
Before ppl used to "farm" radio missions to level, now it's AE open maps with bosses or lieutenants. Radio missions were getting very repetitive too, most of the time in buildings or caves... those open maps arent less fun for me, I could even say that the AoE action on AE open maps is even funnier, and much more of a challenge than the old radio missions that became a bit too easy past mid lvls !
I dont see that much of a difference pre or post AE for my teaming, only that the AE is the best thing ever I've seen in an MMO as a source of endless new story content.
That said, if you dont like the "farm" tag everyone on Freedom seems to put on his AE team (even if most of those arent at all what farms used to be before), maybe you could try out Virtue. There are more RPers on this server, very cool and nice ppl last time I checked, more "story" oriented.
For myself, I like the Freedom action and activity 
What i find hilarious is that there are lot lot players broadcasting to join all the Mayhem missions they skipped because of AE powerleveling on red side.
But since there are almost no one doing the Mayhem anymore they will have a very hardtime getting Invader bonus hp. I am very happy that Mayhem cant be flashbacked. You choose to farm and PL but at least you miss on something that is worth many IOs you could get for free ( 10% more hp ).
Ive been done with AE for quite awhile and now that most badges are gone i have like no reason to go back there. And i do not need a 20th level 50 anytime soon so i decided to play the game the good ol way.
Makes no sense anyway to see all these level 1-20 joining with level 40-50 in boss farms. Truth is only the very high level are doing a fair share of work in these missions. Lowbies are simply dragged along and getting overthetop XPs without really contributing anything.
In the old sewer teams, players were all around same level and everyone was contributing the same. Thats the big difference i see between sewers and AE.

... or they just missed one mayhem or even played non-farm missions in AE. Heck, I've played multiple villains to 50 the good ol'-fashioned way, and I've never gotten Invader on the way up.
Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

I do hope you took note of the 'not addressed to the OP' comment. Unlike a some recent broadly similar threads, where I could see that it would apply pretty much instantly (incoherent babble and bypassing the board profanity filter), I was just putting my comment out there, as I am want to do.
If you want active group to build a core of a team on Triumph, I can point you in the direction of several very active groups, not necessarily ones I am even in, but would be happy to recommend.
Drop me a PM with some details (level how active, RP focused, interest in PVP etc) if you want a pointer.

There are "normal" teams out there.
If you can't find one; start one.
If you are on Freedom or Virtue, contemplate making new characters on other servers. There is far less "farming" issues on other servers.
I play on all the servers. I don't farm.
