*BUG* Bank "Chaos" mission from Broker
Going through the door like that is actually a bug. You shouldn't be able to go through a solid object like that, and the fact you can is reeaaally not intended.
Then again, I'm not sure if using a Snipe on a door is supposed to be allowed, or why you'd really want to do it in the first place. I can think of two ATs that get one, and I'd be doing more damage faster in both by using everything else (DPA on snipes is pathetic).
Nor do I find it 'near impossible' to break out should I find myself in that situation, on any AT I've tried it on. It takes a little time, but that's part of the point there. Only regret is that Heroes don't get a similar time-waster like it, but then again... They have to deal with moving 'targets' as well. Might be considered balanced. (A fact I sort of question, honestly, but not enough to really be that upset about it.)

When doing the bank chaos mission and you get killed and arrested, trying to use ANY kind of sniper shot (so far) doesn't work. It fails completely and utterly. Now I think this might be because of the Teleportation suppression debuff thats doing this and it makes it near impossible to break out if I cant use my most powerful attack on the door.
[/ QUOTE ]It is due to the suppression field... and it really shouldn't make that much of a difference. Your sniper power should do the most damage... but that doesnt' mean its damage/cast time is going to be all that amazing.

And as for the first time getting jailed, usually I can walk up to the door, blast it a few times and walk through it without destroying it. If I'm captured a second time though, I HAVE to blast through it and it takes ages because I cant pull out my big guns on the door.
[/ QUOTE ]The first part is a bug (shouldn't be able to walk through it). Second part is likely 'cause you're probably on a lowbie.

Personally I think as well that solid "inorganic" objects (crates, cars, doors) Shouldn't have the ability to "evade" or "dodge" attacks that you fire against them. I've seen this a couple times in bank missions and the chaos missions where I miss a car by a mile when I shoot at it.
Personally I think it would be impossible to look at a car, be completely untrained on how to shoot a firearm and still miss it after pointing the barrel at it and pulling the trigger.
[/ QUOTE ]I think 5% chance is decently realistic.

All in all, the chaos missions and destructible objects need looked into at the very least.
[/ QUOTE ]Mayhem, not chaos The objects are a bit tough to destroy in the lower levels, but once you get a few levels on yourself then they just fall right over in your wake.

@forbin - Hush. *smacks with a newspaper* Bad troll! Bad!
@Yuri - I use Snipe cause it fills in the recharge time between attacks and is actually pretty decent damage against most objects.
I got a Rad/Ken that can smash through a bank vault with its snipe and everything else in its arsenal (only being level 12 its limited) but can still do decent damage. As for the Teleport suppression affecting attacks, that is also a bug probally not intended as the description text only states it suppresses the ability to teleport and naught else.
The snipe fails in such situations because the constantly refreshing suppression field debuff interrupts it, fyi.

And rest and a stalker's assassin strike and others.
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
It's not a bug, it's an acceptable consequence of a hostile effect interrupting things. When you're in the jail, you cannot use any ability that can be interrupted.
Walking through the door is the actual bug that probably should be addressed. and if you can't kill it with just your regular attacks instead of your snipe, then you should seriously look at your slotting and powers, because you may have too much emphasis on the snipe.
also, a 5% chance for you to have a bad shot that deflects off something is acceptable, from where I'm sitting. It's not evading. Your attack was just ineffective.

Actually, Assassin's Strike works ever since they made it un-interruptible by debuffs.
