what is in the latest patch notes? I'm not sure if this is included in the upcomming Super Science pack or open for everyone, but in Icon there will be a new contact that lets you change your height and body type!!! You can go from 4' tall guy/girl to 9' tall Big body type.
Good for Hulking out, or armored heroes getting on their heavy combat armor.

It'a part of the science pack so if you have any characters that need such a feature you will have ot pay extra for it. Welcome to City of Mo Money Mo Money Mo Money.

It is a business, they are in it to make money. I think as long as they continue to update the game regularly for everyone (which they've done pretty well so far in my opinon) then there is nothing wrong with having "extras" you can purchase. Just my opinion. :-)
I have to agree with Larissa on this. You don't have to buy every pack that comes along. The only "buying" bit I'm in disagreement on is the 30 day jet pack--which is, quite frankly, a bit of a rip off.
Other than that, as long as the individual issues are free, I don't mind buying a mini-series here and there.

Businesses stay in business by making money. It's true.

I don't agree that we have to pay money to be able to change the height on our characters, but I seem to be in the minority on that. Otherwise, I'm cool with SB3.
I also think that at this point, they may as well just make all costume parts unisex. SB3 will make it close enough anyway...

Biggest Troll on the forums? I'll give you a hint:

I've always been cool with paying for additions.
That's awesome! Now my dragon alt can have a human form!
The problem I have with the SB's is that new players have to pay another $30 on top of the $20 key to get the SB packs. Then there's the wedding pack and some other smaller pieces. It's not so bad piecemeal for long time players but it's getting to be 70+ to get a fully updated new game. Once they finish releaseing all the origin boosters you're left with $50 in boosters alone. And all of that is not including subscription fees.
A year or two down the road we're looking at 100+ for boosters add-on packs and CDkey. If by then they start migrating to a full p2p or fusionfall type low sub system that would be fine but keeping the 15 a month and all those SB packs is making the cost of entry quite high.
The automatic argument is that 'they don't have to buy the packs' but in a game who's prime selling point is customization I find the argument to be invalid. Sure they are making money that's what a business is supposed to do. Businesses are also supposed to grow. I think they are starting to choke their growth with all the new SB packs.
Roxy On DA...Finally!
There's still plenty of customization in-game and other content in the game without the boosters. I don't believe they're choking their growth with new SB packs. I see that they're using their SB packs to pull in extra cash to fund more growth. It's bonus content that would probably never have been programmed into the game if it weren't for being able to recognize some extra revenue up front. There are folks like myself who paid $100 ($70 if you decide to count $15 per free first month) for City of Heroes and City of Villains keys when they first launched. If you ask me, newer players are getting much more bang for their buck with their $20 key. And not every player is a completist who feels compelled to pick up every add-on.

[/ QUOTE ] I agree, they don't HAVE to do this stuff for us. I dont mind giving them some money for this type of stuff. now, if a month or two along the road they decide to make it free to everyone how some people want, I would object. and I agree that not everyone is like me with costume pieces, I am a costume [censored] and will pay more for that privilege. it might just be me, but I like to reward people for their work.
