I'm inclined toward option 3.
option 2 or 3 is the only way to maintain a fair round robin.
Option 1 would actually have us fighting the same team not twice but three times, by a freak of the draw--it just so happens that they have a bye when we fight 7 and we have a bye when they fight 7, in addition to our regular week 8 match.
Option 2 would maintain RR best...unless another team drops out, then we have to re-amend the brackets.
Option 3 would be easiest to deal with for organizational purposes and won't require any additional tweaking if others drop out. You can justify option 3 as maintaining round robin fairness by calling the new "byes" win by forfeit of the dropped team...
I guess you can call all that "thinking out loud." I'm fairly sure option 3 makes the most sense and is the easiest to manage.
I can;t speak for my whole team (Mac and Hery) or for Team 1 (Sid, Doc, and Imp), but I'd leave it open for discussion to either count our fight from yesterday as our week 8 match or redo it in week 8 and call yesterday's farm run "practice." The matches were 24-3 and 5-3, incidentally. The first match was monkey cage madness.

Well option 1 would be me redoing everything past the first 2 weeks and making sure you only play 1 team twice. But yeah what you said is very true about maintaining the format.

Option 2 would make the most sense
Option 4 - Schedule all your matches against the other teams ASAP and report them.
While I love me some team PvP tourneys, I hate how they can drag on. My team (#3 I12 PvP) has officially fought Teams 6 and 5, so we need 1 - 4, 8, and 9. If any of those teams would like to schedule a match, post here your preferred date and time. Our team is usually all on from 11 to midnite weekdays.
If I have to pick one of the 3 options, I'm ok with either 2 or 3, but don't like option 1 all.
Finally, I have a family thing this weekend, so I won't be available Saturday or Sunday.

Since I doubt we'd be able to close the gap any more than we did in the second fight, I'm inclined to let our match with team 1 stand.
I like option 4 as well, but we still have to figure out what to do about byes and matches against team 7. Option 3 offers the simplest (if not technically best) means of doing so. Call the original byes "wins," and call matches against team 7 "wins by forfeit" and move through the rest of the schedule at our earliest conveniences.
Sounds like a good way to deal with the attrition we've already had and to prevent future attrition. For example, while I won't be dropping, after the second week of august my time is going to be *severely* limited. I'd imagine the same (or similar) is true for others.
In any event, team 4 votes option 3: Two people already voiuced suport for option 3. I suspect hery would be willing to endorse our votes if she's not already in favor of that option. It would be nice to get the official go ahead to clear our matches out ahead of the schedule, though.

This tourney in general needs to move faster. I don't plan on doing this come September, so option 3 or 4 is my vote.

Option 3 goes. Everytime you have a match between your team and team 7 is a win by forfeit. Byes still count.
The week yall do actually play agains tthem will be yalls bye and sids win against team 7.
That makes it all even and fair. It keeps it moving along.
also this is a 8 weeek season. It was stated in the OP. Im dont plan on cutting it short. giving a week between matches help gets your team better in shape for the next one and to work new strategys. This is the whole point of a league.
Fun should be the whole point. Once it becomes tedious more and more teams will drop, and in the end it will all be for naught. I would consider going 2 matches per week minimum to lessen how long this will end up being. Long drawn out stuff like this is why I seldom ever did more than one off tourneys, duels or being a zonetard. If I wanted to 'work' at it I would want to get paid

Option one isnt going to work. As it stands (if I read the schedule right) well end up playing Team 3 AND Team 6 twice. I suspect there will probably be other teams with multiple matches against more than one team (or playing a team three times like was posted before).
Option three seems like the easiest and fairest solution for everyone involved.

9 Team Schedule
Ok updated to put toxic troll on ice knights team and delete fjustice team as they left. this was discussed tonight and this is a result.
What happens now since a team dropped is There Will Be NO More BYES Each team that has a bye will take the spot of the number 7 team that week. Its easier doing it that way instead of making a new schedule.
So with that this week it will be Team 1 Farm Mac D vs Team 4 Our team Goes to Eleven.
