Stop complaining ... or Hogwash?
What people should do, if they're getting sick of the broadcast spam, is educate those players about the lft interface.
That's really the crux of the problem with the /b spam. These new players don't know how to use the tools already in the game.

You will never see them cut rewards to MA to the extent that you are suggesting.
[/ QUOTE ]
Something has to, and will be done.
Although i am not pro-cutting rewards, its probably the easiest fix. And by being the easiest fix, will probably be the one that gets implemented by Paragon.
[/ QUOTE ]
Please. Just because it's the easiest fix, doesn't mean it's the one they'll do. You don't have an MMO run for 5 years by being stupid. Most MMOs fail to even start or are cut down to 1 or 2 staff members or are shut down completely after a very short period of time. Cutting the rewards across the boards is probably something they will NEVER do, because you can bet your [censored] that it will piss a lot of people off. Not just here on the forums, either. Your average player probably doesn't care too much if he can't use the burning forest map in AE anymore, but if you cut his experience, he's going to notice, and he's going to be pissed.
For the last 5 years, when they found an exploit, they fixed that exploit. It'll happen exactly the same way here.

This AE farm issue is divisive on more levels than you give credit. its more than just some bugged map(s)
Personally,
I vote instant tp to the AE building on character creation as a choice. Maybe the AE guy as your starting contact?

I think farm, and lff should be added to the profanity list.

I find your positions on farming here in the forums very interesting and in stark contrast to your actual in game acts.
Today on freedom in Cap a level 10ish-20ish zone what did I see? You on your 50 DB/WP Brute, Jacobi Law spamming in broadcast for players to join 'your' farm.
It was even more interesting poping in mission #70844 listed as a "challenge". The "story" consists of the line "level Up" that's it. The enemy in the mission list as the "Fuuksi" from the custom critters group (farm) on a large outdoor map.
To be fair you not the only one that displays one position here in the forums, yet does the exact same thing they are advocating others be limited in doing somehow.
I'll take it as you were just playing devils advocate for fun and not actually being intentionally deceptive just to stir the pot in a negative manner, I guess.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

Is it necessary to end a post with /sarcasm_off?
All I can say is that the paying subscription of COX are all beta testers for NCSOFT.

Nothing in this game needs to be balanced around the ability for a lvl 4 to be able to easily team with his lvl 50 buddy.
[/ QUOTE ]
But it needs to be balanced around your dislike of a particular type of broadcast spam in Atlas?
The game has been designed to accommodate people who want to play together, regardless of character level. First it was sidekicking, then came the exemplar system, the GM code, auto-exemping, and so on, right up to MA's level adjustments.
I really don't think the developers are going to do a complete 180 on that design philosophy, just because you can't find a "sewer team" in Atlas Park.
Do you remember a time when there wasn't any such thing as a sewer team? I do. There's nothing saying the practice can't vanish as quickly as it appeared. Given the purpose of sewer teams--to blow through those early levels as fast as possible--I wouldn't be surprised if MA makes the routine obsolete, with or without the involvement of 50s.
But, assuming sewer teams aren't going to go the way of street hunting in Brickstown, you have options, as a player, to deal with broadcast spam and find the kind of team you want. You can separate broadcast from other channels by putting it in its own tab. You can then filter it with /ignore. You can use /request for your sewer teams. You can even utilize server-focused globals for team building and the server forum for scheduling.
If you've done all that and still can't get that sewer team going? Well, maybe it's time to entertain the possibility that the practice is just on the way out. If that's what's happening, driving 50s out of the Atlas AE won't change it.
Ultimately, if you're expecting the developers to cater to your convenience and narrow play preference at the expense of the convenience of the broader player base, well... don't hold your breath.

Several good ideas here. I especially like (and will use) the one about putting broadcast in its own tab.

Interesting that more don't know this. Every single channel in this game can be filtered. Could have sworn it's in the manual that comes with the game.
