No. I don't host anythin'. I merely show up to provide assistance, be it team lead or just another damage dealer. The Mothership Raid is somethin' you host, nor am I associated with AOW in any way, aside from this.

First of all, it's not 'once in a while'. It's a weekly scheduled event on Sunday, 7:30pm EDT, and has been since October. And again, I don't host anythin'. Amygdala is the raid leader, and if she chooses to ask me to target, I'll do what I can to help. But overall, and yet again, I'm just another damage dealer/team lead. That's it.

Sorry, i was not implying you were associated with AOW (the RWZ Raid is neither AOW sponsered nor is it monthly), and since you always show up, organize and watch over us like a guardian angel, i chose to say you co-host (if this bothers you i wont bring up your valued assistance).

BMT MotD'd since October, and in the Hami Raiders channel MotD for about a month now.

Can't we all just agree that we're all special little snowflakes and that Champion is lucky to have numerous people and supergroups willing to set-up, lead, or participate in server-wide events on a regular basis?
Do we really need to have a group/person to take over getting all the flack that SF and LS used to get just to continue the pointless dramatics?

I don't think anyone is not in aggreement. I think Elkie is just being Elkie, and the rest are just feeling their feathers being ruffled by some of the offhanded "patting of thy own back" type comments from the OP.
Actually it has always rang true that SG/VG lead events, no matter how pure the intentions are, normally will be looked at as a recruiting ploy rather than a community event. Especially when dealing with CC's. Precisely why I don't typically run events under the LES banner, instead I run them under the PERC/PVPEC banner. Brings way less drama to where my SG members call home.
we'll toss our hats in for bi-weekly rwz raids too. I'll alternate ours with yours obviously.
Let me know your schedule and i'll fill in the blanks on our calendar. I may switch the time up a bit since im west coast.

AOW funds the events and hosts them so it makes sense to advertise the event as such, but CriticalKat makes a few good points, it would make for less drama to just get involved with PERC/PvPEC instead. Problem there is scheduling, but if i could make time and maybe get on vent with PERC/PvPEC members maybe i could throw the resources of AOW behind these organizations. We will consider this.
This is what i was hoping for from this thread - constructive ideas.

AOW MONTHLY 25 MILLION COSTUME CONTEST- First saturday of each month at 7pm est. in Atlas Park under the Atlas Satue.
This sg was formed Dec. 15th/07 and Jan. 1st the first AOW event was started and prevails to this day.
The purpose of this event was to get the public interested in making better costumes and getting people together to chat and make new friends.
Since then we have included the Under Level 20 CC and Biography contest to make it fair to new heroes and those who like to write great bios. Both these events have a top prize of 10 Million.
All 3 contests have a top 10 list of winners and you can win all 3 events.
To make the event fair a second judge from outside AOW is asked to help. The judge each month is from a different sg, so no one can say a specific alliance has been formed.
We do not recruit during an event, this is for the public to enjoy each others company.
We had a monthly PvP Event and a Monthly Gladiator Event. The PvP Event was stopped because of a lack of interest (only 2-8 people showed up each month). If enough interest is shown, AOW is willing to host the event again 2nd sat. of each month at 7pm est.
The Gladiator Event had lots of ppl show up but who could not really compete because of a lack of gladiators. My 3 Shivans, 3 Freakshow Tanks, and deadly Cog ruled for months until Flafatron showed up with Longbow Warden 2's, Swift Steels, and Crane Enforcers which then ruled from then on. Before this event can be brought back, ppl will need to work together to get gladiators so no one person rules consistantly. If there is an interest in gladiators again, we will restart this event as well 3rd sat. of each month at 7pm est.
The times listed is for my convenience, i am sure others want events at another time, we will need someone else who is a leader to host events at other times.

Flafatron, Miami Scotty, and i had a tiff. We worked it out and things are fine now. Again - Why are you bringing up petty matters and nitpick! I am popular and AOW is firmly established so those points are unimportant.
This thread is a chance for you to do something constructive and help create events that you would like to see!
Let ppl know what ideas you have that you and others would enjoy, such as a monthly Hunt GM's day, or PvP Tourney, or Gladiator Tourney.

Hmmm Maybe an MA arc or ITF timed to see which group or individual can complete it fastest contest? I think i read that idea in a release by PERC or PvPEC (one of CriticalKats ideas?). Sounds like a good idea though.
