Or you could just send a nice little tell in advance and give people the option to say yes or no. It doesn't take much effort at all. Hell you can even make a nifty bind for it like I use.

No. Making it easier only gives you a false sense of security. Believe it or not the only way to really learn is to get the [censored] farmed out of you over and over again. So many people think that knowing how to pve means they should know how to pvp. EVERYTHING is 100% different. People can explain the mechanics on how to pvp, help you with build advice, even explain evasion skills and attack chains. However all of that won't do diddly squat unless you have the perseverance to get FARMED OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN, and still want to pvp after it.

No, you missed the point. There is no shortage of events on this server. There are hami and Rikti ship raids. Task force races. MSTF runs. CC's. Badge hunts. PVPEC and PERC events. Just about anything you could think of to do, is being done on a semi-regular basis. Asking people for ideas is redundant because any idea they could or would probably come up with is already being done. Just host an event, its really that simple. It isn't rocket science. Plan it, advertise it, host it. The end.
Instead you come across as an [censored] and then want people to give you some positive ideas and support. Not going to happen. Furthermore stating you just won't run any because a few people on a video game forum were [censored] to you (though I would say somewhat deservingly) means your intentions were not for the sake of the community anyways. The blueboards (people that post on a regular basis) only represent maybe about 5% of the people who play this game anyways.
You say its not about recruitment, its not about self...then pick an event and run it. Talking about it all these weeks and still not running one seems....like...hot air.

Iltac, I usually send tell to people if they need a super group. I mean if blind invites in your books is bad then fine dont do it. Blind invites have work well for several of top rank SG. Again if someone totally against blind invites.. go to your opinion and set the setting. I actually saw a AOW Sega member pvping today in RV.. on a Scrapper. He or She got owned but at least he didn't complain about dying. Felecia show up to last night event but I guess didn't have a partner or didn't wanna pvp.

During the raid yesterday I spoke with Cobalt about coming to play and he said he was available. I would so pair you two...like peas in a pod.

I would like to amend this statement in PoNs defense their leader Budweiser was on vacation for two weeks and did not know about the events upcoming. Without the opportunity to donate that explains we could not expect them to do so. However now is another story.
We spoke at length today and on behalf of PoN BuD has donated the entire entry fees and prize winnings for this sudays event FOR EVERYONE!!! that means if 10 teams or more compete we will be giving away 500 million influence!!!
