Stone Tanks are the ones that get called in when no other tank can do the job effectively. granted it all comes down to build and the person playing the toon that causes those situations ot occur.
I remember a time when people wouldn't consider doing certain TF's wihtout a stone/ tank or even toinclude villian TF's a /stone brute. That in and of itself should say something about the powerset.

With new sets these days like shield and WP, players can get good roundabout defense. Stone gives good defense with a little defense but it also greatly decreases the players speed (last I knew, this mighta changed).
In my mind the only redeeming factor is the granite armor. So I'm just wondering, is there something that I'm forgetting about stone that makes it really good or is it really just that stone defense is getting left in the dust by new and better sets?

agreed, stone needs a buff. give it +50% recharge and +300% Enhanced Damage because theres no way that Stone can compete with Shield... or Dark.. or Fire...

I'm a inv tank. I don't see what the problem is. The only power I have even slotted is Resist Elements, and it blows your stone tanker (Hickory) bs away. That power alone caps Defense, Resists, and taunts your scrapper to leave the team.
It's grilling season my friends. If you want a good steak, make it with fire.
Mix mustard with pepper, garlic, salt, basil. Then coat the meat with it. Wrap the meat in butcher paper or newspaper tightly and place it directly on the hot coals for 10 minutes. You have to wait for the coals to heat up about this long anyway so it's good to have something to do in the delay. Take the meat out of the paper and wipe off the excess (save this to grill the corn in, it will be awesome). Grill the meat until it reaches the level of pink you want. Protip: pinching the skin between your thumb and index finger will give you a rough approximation of medium. Adjust up or down based on this value.
