A good Soloing Villain?
All villains solo well. Brutes and Masterminds tend to solo best.
Roll a willpower brute for easy mode.

Corruptors solo very well. Think of them as a blaster with added control features.
For example: I play a sonic/dark Corruptor which at my current lv (38) gives me all of the sonic attacks PLUS an AoE sleep, a disorient, tar patch, healing, fear, rez, a debuff, and (FTW) dark servant.
No blaster can match it. Take a look at Corrs. You might like it.

Stalkers solo very well indeed, and Hide takes a lot of the risk out of traversing high level zones to the next mission. In a way they are a closer match to blasters than corruptors are - high damage, but can get in trouble if they don't put down their opponents fast. The first villain I took past level 10 or so was a stalker.
Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback. I started an Axe/WP Brute and am enjoying him, but, I also have a corrupter and stalker to try out as well. This game makes making alts too easy!
You don't need numpad key support for masterminds. I've done fine without it.

True. I do just fine without all the keybinds.

Oh, you ain't seen nothin' yet...
Pretty much all villains solo well, though some do better than others. Corruptors are the most team-oriented AT, while Dominators require a bit of mob micromanagement and luck to solo. I think Soldiers of Arachnos of all kinds also solo pretty well, though they add a lot to a team...

I use 4 or 5 macros for bot control but aside from that everything else are just hotbar skills.
The only thing I use keybinds for are modifying existing commands. For example I modify the escape key to both menu and cancel. I modify the costume changes to include emotes. I've never understood the point of modifying keys at the source when you can just make macros and hit one button. Its more convenient to be able to drag and change hotkeys than it is to remap an entire keybind if you decide to move it down the cast chain.

Hey Everyone, still new to the game, I have a hero I am working on, but I want to start a Villain. What would be a great AT to start soloing with to get a feel to CoV? I have haerd Masterminds are good, but at the moment, I am playing on my laptop with no numpad key support, and I don't want to figure out right now, since I am still learning the game. My Hero I am enjoying is a Blaster, but the closest I have seen is a Corrupter, but am not sure how they solo.
