Gray Huntress and the Proto-Deus
Do you people ever have anything else to to other than to sit around here all day performing acts of art beyond anything humanly possible?
Very nice. If I'd paid enough attention to see that you were doing it, I'd have bought you a second set.
Oooh neat looking piece
Thanks guys.
Gray Huntress and the Proto-Deus part 2
Part 3 will follow later today after I write the story.
P.S. I didn't realize Gray was a writer. My story is going to sound so childish to him.

Heh, it doesn't sound childish at all. I love it However, when I look at these pieces I have one question: If this is a 'sketch,' what does your finished product look like? I wish my sketches looked better than stick-figures with disproportionate limbs.
"You must hurry, for Icon closes at 6pm." <-----Love it
Huh. It never occurred to me to barter for arts.
Bartering for art! How did I miss this? I'll totally barter for art...
*ahem*
These are gorgeous, LD, and the whole series is going to be epic. The painterly quality reminds me of N. C. Wyeth, especially that first one.
The story is great, too! The idea of tying the theme into the costume packs is a cool one. Gray Huntress is a neat character design, and I look forward to seeing the rest.

Slag Heap: Why you hurt Guardian!? Guardian no hurt you!
Who wants to barter me?
Barter means what I think it does, right?
Sure, I'll barter you.
'I'll exchange Foo for art! Any takers?!"
*crickets chirping*
Guess I'm stuck with you...
...These are sketches? Dude.
*Totally throws all of her non-clay-medium art supplies into a furnace.*
I gives up!
...Not seriously, but dang dood. I'd love it if my sketches ended up that awesome.
These were supposed to be sketches, but they are turning out more like semi-polished pieces. I spent several hours on each one. I would like to get to the point where I can do conceptual paintings in an hour or so and definitely not longer than two, while doing a better job at capturing the essence and making it look more interesting with an illusion of detail. I have a long long way to go.
Anyway, here is Gray Huntress and the Proto-Deus part 3.

Very cool Lousy, you really captured the mood.
Those are amazing, I especially like Part 4.
very cool
Nice i like it.
When I brought up the idea that maybe I should do a sketch for someone who buys me a costume pack, Gray Huntress was the only one that showed interest, and he actually chose to buy all the packs for me! Since all the sketches were going to be for the same person, I thought it would be cool to develep a theme based on the different costume packs, and do a series of paintings that tells a story.
Incidentally, one type of commissions I would like to offer is "illustrated biography" that follows the story of the character. So this was the perfect opportunity for me to test if it was something feasible. It seems at this point that I will have to be able to paint much much faster to make it worth my time, but I will see where it goes with practice.
Without further delay, Gray Huntress and the Proto-Deus part 1. The story is in the description.
