Hurricane

Do I really need this? is it good? With my ninj/storm I find I am... 99% of the time forgetting about it and using my other powers to great effect.

Any hurricane MM feedback would be appreciated.

It's a really good power, better than just situational. It's a big big tohitdebuff. Even if you just hurricane pull groups with it, it would take a chunk of the alpha strike out of your foes.

It's a good debuff ad can repel the things that hurt you most. Like anything though, if you don't plan on using it, get rid of it. I have a storm controller, so it's not really the same, but that's my 2 cents on the actual use of the power.

Remember, it's not just a "shove stuff around" power, it's a to hit debuff. Shove something into a corner, and watch it flail uselessly at you and your henchmen.

Hmm... good points. I'll try using it more and see what happens.

About 300 levels into storm now, spanning controllers, defenders, corruptors, and now MMs.

I seriously love hurricane, the debuff is great, the repel is useful. However, I tend to be so busy on my thugs/storm I often forget about it completely... blasphemy I know.

Let me just reiterate, if you don't like it and you're not using it.... Uhh, feel free to drop it. *shudder*

Turn it on, never turn it off. Just make sure you know how to use it or you'll find yourself being kicked off teams left and right.

Position yourself outside spawns and gently nudge guys. Don't scatter things everywhere.

This is good advice and I've seen it used this way to good effect blueside. Once the Tank hits the aggrocap some of the fringe spawns start running around. Use Hurricane to nudge them back into a corner, into an AoE (Ice Slick works really well), away from other squishies and back through doorways if you don't want to deal with them yet.

Porting into the middle of a spawn with Hurricane on is just about the fastest way to get kicked that I can think of...

One thing I've found really nice for /Storm controllers (or Mu epic masterminds) is to aggressively use Hurricane to force the enemy spawn into a very tiny central herd using a -kb aoe immobilize such as fire cages, frostbite, roots, or of course electric fences. Make sure to constantly reapply the immob, so that they don't get knocked back by Hurricane's random kb. The end result is a spawn tohit debuffed to hell, immune to scatter by anyone else, resistance debuffed from FR, and positioned perfectly for death by burn patches or other massive aoe.

Keep the -kb immob applied and you can use tornado for it's 500 or whatever points of damage with no scatter.
