I just fail to understand where you got this doom'n'gloom idea from. I wasn't raising either, simply bringing up a point/asking a question.

    Relax. All is well.

Also, as for Notices, what is to say those aren't used by the dozens to unlock pieces of the Omega slot, or something? Just because you don't see a use for them NOW doesn't mean there's no use for them LATER.
O_o I'm not exactly sure you understood my intentions. I've been a huge supporter of this game and the decisions made by the devs for 5 years. All I was questioning is why the current content doesn't seem to take advantage of the previous content.
  3. Perhaps I missed something, perhaps I misunderstood an aspect of the incarnate lore, but what purpose did replacing shards with threads serve? The only reason I can fathom is preventing players from hording shards pre-i20, then spending them all once it came out, resulting in them not needing to perform the incarnate trials.

It just seems to me that Issue 20 has overridden most of the previous work made towards the incarnate system. I certainly don't see many people participating in the Weekly Strike Force, let alone other TF's throughout the game. I suppose what I am trying to say is that these new systems are replacing the old content, rather than building upon what we already have. The game feels disjointed, and this makes me a sad panda.

P.S. I DO enjoy the incarnate system, and i20. I just wish it was integrated with the rest of the game in a better fashion.

    Spines are ugly!

Here's my main, spine/DA. I usually make a new costume every few weeks but this is the one I'm currently using.

I would be interested to see it with a Spine/Dark or Spine/Fire as Reactive does proc with the Damage auras.
I have it on my Spine/Dark. Simply put, it is insane. I wouldn't be surprised if a moderately significant portion of my total damage comes from the two damage auras alone.

Side Note: Just for laughs I ran an ambush farm the other day, spawned both of the ambushes and went afk. Came back roughly 10min later to find everything had been killed by the two auras. Reactive FTW. (Plus I LOVE the sea of little orange numbers melting baddies)
  6. Spines/DA scrapper. Enter Cardiac slot. Hello God-Mode.
  7. Here is my pride and joy. He has no end issues to speak of despite what it my look like in mids due to the cardiac alpha slot. He is incredible and I cannot really play any other toons because of how good he is. Fear the power of spines/DA.

  8. My Spines/DA scrapper wins regardless.
  9. My main, a spine/DA, is a toon I've been working on for quite some time. Granted, it may not be a BS/DA, but I feel the slotting should be helpful enough. I feel I should mention that, while it may seem as if he would have severe end issues, he does not. This is thanks to alpha slotting cardiac. He can now move without any endurance issues while tearing through many mobs at a time.

  10. Here's my pride and joy, From the Darkness, I've spent much time on this build. Before you look at it, take into account that I use cardiac boost so I have no endurance issues to speak of. The only real issue (cost wise) with the build is the gladiator armor 3% def. Other than that the cost is manageable.

  11. So I just read that a dom is capable of soloing the LRSF. So um, yea, wow. Is this indeed a true statement, and if so...how? I always knew doms were pretty nasty but I never realized THIS nasty.

    Best answer ever. lmfao
  13. Just today I watched, in amazement, as a BA/SD brute essentially soloed nictus romi without any inspirations or outside buffs. I'm not sure how nasty nictus romi is considered in the community but I thought it was pretty impressive.
  14. First let me say bravo dev's, the incarnate system has got to be one of my favorite additions to the game in quite some time. So now I'm left with the nagging question, "When will more slots, other than the alpha slot, be released"? Not sure if this has been brought up yet, but I'm curious if they will only be released with subsequent issues or if new slots will be released in between issues.

    i19 ROCKS!
  15. Cheeze_Head

    AE Power Combos

    Fire Blast/Stone Armor? Owies.
  16. I'll keep it simple, would you accept a nerf to the amount of +regen Instant Healing provides, given it was changed back into a toggle? I'm not sure how significant of a nerf, but a nerf nonetheless.
  17. Not sure what caused me to think of this but what would you consider to be the most underrated power in the game? Off the top of my head I'd have to say gale. The smart people know how to use it amazingly well, and the stupid people essentially remove it from their trays. So which power, whether it be for lack of use, misuse, or any other reason would you choose?
  18. My main, spines/DA, tears through just about anything. I love the guy and wouldn't have it any other way. Plus Dark Regeneration is just...wowzers. A properly made costume looks scary as **** too lol.

Here's a better question "In the Age of Scrappers that can layer defense and resistance on top of each other have a self heal and outdamage almost all blaster combination's are blasters obsolete ?". See both of those aren't questions so much as manifestos.

Anyway the unasked or possibly disregarded part of this is just how much effort does it take to make SD surpass SR, how does SR compare at comparable levels of expense ? As I said way back in this thread SD's greatest power is the power to absorb nearly limitless amounts of INF. But back to your comparisons re recharge and the ability to spam siphon life fast unless you are in a situation where you have little to no risk of death the ability to trade damage for survivability is pretty important.
Actually when I posted this my full intention was the question that was asked. I didn't really expect it to turn into a SD argument, but I must say, watching it unfold has been quite amusing.

Quickness may need a rework to be just movement plus something else like physical perfection.
I actually like this idea quite a bit. Although I doubt it will be utilized to any extent...
  21. I think the subject speaks for itself but I suppose I'll explain a bit more. For my first GR toon I was planning on making a DB/SR scrapper (because it seemed ub3r cool ) and then I realized the following; why bother with SR since many secondaries can do what SR can, with the added bonus of other utilities and whatnot, by just IOing it up. I realize it would take a bit more work for other sets to soft cap than SR, however, I feel the point remains valid.
  22. There's no such thing as a bad combo, just a bad player.

Sure, some combo's fail to have natural synergy with one another, however, this does not make them "bad". I like to think of them as an opportunity.
  23. Okay, after the (very helpful) advice I've arrived at this revamped build.

  24. In terms of farming speed I'm aware that fire/kins are the go-to combo hands down. However, due to the overwhelming amount of them within Paragon City I've come to despise them. Is there a combo out there that can challenge the farming speed of the infamous fire/kin?
  25. I'm pretty much just going for max survivability here while pouring out massive AoE dmg...any suggestions would be most appreciated.
