Ice stalkers........ *DELETED*
Suggestion forum that way ---->
although Ice Stalkers do sound kinda neat.
Have you tried making one in MA?
The problem with Ice as a powerset is, there's a lot of slows, knockdown, and DoT in it. So it'd be tricky to convert to a stalker powerset, unless you took the Ice Sword moves and expanded on them.
The Tanker Ice Melee set was considered for Brutes, but then it was discovered in Beta that the slow effect of the powerset severely affected Fury build-up (cos the mobs attacked more slowly). So Ice Brutes got shelved.
Also an Ice Cloak powerset would be ... interesting ... to code. My Ice Dom tends to attract a LOT of aqgro from the debuffs, which would be totally wrong for a stalker.
So a straight proliferation probably wouldn't work too well.
"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."
Slows and knockdown are not problematic for Stalkers, the only problem is DoT. To which I say well look at Spines.
As to Ice Melee for Brutes, if I remember correctly it was actually the combination of Ice Melee/Armor and the Ice Melee on it's own wasn't overly problematic.
I don't think agro would be that big problem or spine stalkers wouldn't exist probably. And chilling embrace could be replaced with hide...<_< just saying..uh link me to suggestion forum i am too dumb and lazy to find it...<_<

Suggestions: Where the good ideas go to die...
It's just two labels down from the City Life forum.
Oh, and an Ice Stalker Hide just HAS to be called "Black Ice."
My Stories
Look at that. A full-grown woman pulling off pigtails. Her crazy is off the charts.
I imagine a Stalker would probably benefit from slows and knockdown.

I'd make one just to take this power.

A CoH Comic: Kid Eros in "One Light"
It'd make far more sense than a Fire/Fire stalker at least.

My DB/Nin sure does. The DB set was new when I first ran her to 50 and I didn't know too much about the set, so her build came out very sloppy. But making use of the knock-downs on some of the DB attacks in addition to taking Air Supe and dropping caltrops around like Tinkerbell spreading fair ducts, she was able to do pretty well. I can remember taking down red-con foes without being touched once.
Ice for stalkers actually is one of the few armor sets that actually make sense, i mean take out the aura powers add in hide, maybe ad in a small ice slick like caltrops for ninja, or ice patch and congrats your done.
Ice melee would be cake walk too
id make one, i love ice characters. only problem i can think of, and this is purely thematic, is that stalker defensive sets tend to be the non bulky armors, and i can see the bulky ice block armor being a bit conceptually scratchy with stalkers, but id play one in a heartbeat.
i can see ice stalker being stealthy..my cold corr is pretty stealthy you know :P
im not saying that it cant be stealthy, but between the huge blocks of armor rice that forms on you that would seem to make youa lot easier to see and the loud crackling that tends to accompany ice armor on my tank, it would be a little immersion thing that would bug me, but i still want one.
I've posted my Ice Melee and Ice Armor sets for Stalkers in the OP's thread in the S+I forum. Check it out!
