Well, we have good Statesmen and bad Statesmen, but... Is it just me or is Lord Nemesis evil in absolutely every dimension?

[/ QUOTE ]

My theory about that is that one of the Nemesi has actually offed as many other iterations of himself as possible - so the Nemesis we know is the only Nemesis that exists for most worlds. (And when you have an army of robotic duplicates, it'd be easy to make other people think there are still multiples of you)

Of course that's just my pet theory.

I have read people suggesting that Mender Silos is in fact Nemesis (his name is an anagram of: 'Lord Nemesis').

So, that'd be one 'good' Nemesis.
Unless, of course, the anonymous letters are right...

I think (like someone else in this thread) that Nemesis genuinely believes he'd be the best at ruling the world, and therefore should be allowed to do so. Much like how the CoHGoRo--say that aloud for fun--trailer depicts Tyrant.

You know, up 'til now, we've only seen Praetorian Earth from the viewpoint of characters attached to Primal Earth (or, to a much lesser degree, Battle Earth). From the outside looking it, it's pretty bleak. But how do the natives feel about their home? Would they look at Paragon City and think "You still haven't solved your Council problem? Cavemen!"

And we need to take Mender Silos into account, too...

Think about it this way

Praetorian!Recluse and Axis Amerika!Recluse are likely dead

[/ QUOTE ]

I doubt this to be the case.

Killing off the other versions of Stefan Richter limits the Devs' storytelling options (especially since they seem to be quite fond of alternate versions of signature characters).

As such, and as would happen in *any* other comic medium, if the Devs want him to be alive for some purpose, he will be, and I'd have to say I think he will be (in some form or another).

I don't think that's an Alternate Universe Nemesis though - that's Our Nemesis, From the Future.

The real question there (assuming he's Nemesis) is:

A) Is he 'for real'; and there's some massive thing that's been brought down on us? (Genre conventions suggest that there is, and he's the one who caused it at least in part; but then there is those letters...)

B) Are the letters right? Could this be some sort of uber-Nemesis Plot?

It seems more likely to me that Tyrant thinks Praetorian Recluse is dead.

To a point <,< But this one is.. uhm... out there. If it is actually a Nemesis plot.

Which LISAR shows it could very well be a Nemesis plot by Nemesis plotting against himself.

True, he is quite likely to be 'our' Nemesis, just gone good.
Isn't it one portal mission where you travel to a world where Nemesis won, but at the cost of everybody's life. I think to recall the clues indicating Nemesis being repentant about it.

My gut feeling is that Silos is sincere. But, that does not mean his trying to avoid the catastrophe is not actually bringing to us or bringing something even worse...

This is why humanity is in such dire straits.

We keep trying to hit nails with screwdrivers and such.

Why on earth would you feel something with your gut? Yes, it's large has a modicum of sensitivity. But it's a poor data gathering tool.

Use your mind instead!

Funnily enough, I do criticise other people for using that expression:
'If you opinions come from your gut, I consider logical to treat them as s...'

SO, yes, my unsubstantiated opinion is that this Nemesis is a good guy...

Posted

So, lets see if we can sum up.....

We have multiple Statesmen , some good some evil.
We may or may not have several Lord Recluses who may or may not have been beaten to death with their own limbs and/ or may be heroic leaders of the resistance and/or might be on ice somewhere as a sleeper weapon.
We have one or more Nemeses who may or may not be plotting against themselves and everyone else in an ultimate bid to rule the known universes and/or may be trying to save the known universes from ultimate destruction at his own hands...which might not happen if he's planned correctly.

Have we forgotten anyone here? Like, what is DJ Zero doing?

I've thought that DJ Zero might be a version of Nemesis himself, but given that immortal beings have used Pocket D as a base to obtain super human help, I'm now inclined to think that he's either an Incarnate or a deity himself.

If I were Recluse I'd wonder how I ended up in the only dimension with a "good" Statesman

[/ QUOTE ]

But it's to LR's benefit to be here. At least with a good Statesman who upholds the law and has to follow "the rules" LR has already carved out a reasonable powerbase and can continue working on plans.

[/ QUOTE ]

All versions of Stateman follow the law, and in fact they are all an embodiment of the legal system of their own reality. Statesman represents the United States, clearly. Reichsman represents the Reich, the legal order of Axis America, and Tyrant, of course, IS the law.

My theory: before all the Zeus nonsense, the Incarnates were the living embodiments of abstract ideas. For Statesman and his extra-dimensional counterparts, he is Law Incarnate.

It makes more sense, looking at the theme and behavior of the character, than the whole Zeus thing.
