Fortunata farmer
I'd suggest you examine the end costs for the fortunata AoEs pretty carefully. One thing that always bugged me is that fortunata multi-target damaging powers (at least the ones that recover in any reasonable time (<30s) require a lot of end and so you can't just build a very high AoE/high rech fort and expect to spam your attacks as often as they come up.

Yeah that is the big difference between a them and a /psi Dom, that drain psyche is priceless. lol

Fort can farm, but withough domimation or fury doms and brutes will be
better at it. I havea heavy AoE "farmer" build and its a end hog, fortunatly
its also got miracle and numina and lots of +end or +recover sets BUT,
It still doen't hold a candle to what my SS/Stoner can do, yes a Granite
brute can farm better then a heavy IOed fort. Though admitatly thats a
heavy IOed granite (runs at 21 mph no kin around )
So if you want go ahead and farm with a fort, you will have the tools to be
succecful just not nearly as well as the fire/psi's or the SS/Fires that lead
the farm groups in kill speed.

How well can a fully io'd out fortunata do on a farm compared to the permadom fire/psi? I've noticed some nice AOE capabilities on the fortunata, but I haven't really messed with one yet. I think with enough recharge many of those AOE's can be shot off pretty quick.

Well, I've been farming those Rome warriors with my lvl 50 Fort. I think I did it faster than a Spine/Fire Scrapper. He and I were just clearing mobs to mobs.
My build is kinda expensive. I have one LoTG 7.5% and unique Numina and Miracle for +recovery. I also carry double assault but only one Maneuver. I do not need to "slow down" at all. Just by killing, you constantly get new inspirations so I just eat them. I can't recall the last time I actually "rest".
It's nice when mini-nuke is up. I can clear one mob so quick.
I am sure Fort isn't the best farmer out there but it's decent enough for me. It's almost impossible for me to die and I do very good damage with Psi Tornado, Scream and then Dominate one to kill one, Gloom another to finish off, Subdue another minion and TK and then cycle.
What's left is to normalize all Assassin Strikes and improve Stalker's old sets (Claw, MA and EM)! You don't need to bring back the missing PbAoE attack. You just need to make the existing ones better! For example, make Slice a WIDER and LONGER cone.
can anyone remember the formula to determine the speed of a power recharging based on the amount of global recharge you have?
i seem to remember that there was one for max recharge...
anyway.. how quick if maxed global recharge.. perma hasten.. etc.. could i get the mini nuke off?
rech = base recharge / (1 +( sum %rech)/100)
So let's say that you got a power that got 360sec base recharge.
You ench it with 3 SO rech for 95% recharge.
You got hasten 70%.
You got enough global recharge for perma-hasten (something like 107% ?) : 107%
sum %rech = 95+70+107 = 212
so,
rech = 360 / (1 + (212/100))
rech = 115 sec.
I have a fully IO'd out Fire/Psi and Fort. My Fire/Psi definitely farms ALOT faster than the Fort.

My Psy Wail recharges in 97.6 seconds. Achieving that much global recharge is ridiculously expensive though (4x purple sets, 5x LotG's, 2x sets of Decimation, 3x sets of Posi Blast, etc.).
In other words, there are lots of cheaper (not to mention faster) farm builds. I hear you can get the recharge on Footstomp down to ~8 seconds without too much trouble.

Try 4.5 seconds.
My widow/fort (dual builds) is only at 45 now. Not much in the way of global recharges and I can't farm with her yet. Still, she's a great assistant-farmer without the IOs.
In the very least, your quasi-farming fort will always be fun to play.
I suspect that the Going-Rogue expansion will bring some extra goodies that will bring that fort up to farming standards. Still, you'll always play second fiddle to the fire/psi doms and stone brutes.

I know you can get it lower than 8 seconds (I have 3 high level SS/ Brutes). My point was that you can easily get it down to 8 seconds, where as a Fort takes a larger investment for a lesser return.

Maybe when the FF +rech proc goes off, otherwise you're not going to get the recharge time that low.

In "comparison" to a Fire/Psi DOM its slower by a fair measure. You "can" do it, its just not the top of the line for choices when looking to max speed per run.
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.
