Controller vs Dominator Challenge!!

That ok, I went head and got 2 levels on my Sith Dom (Mind / Elec) He is now 36. I cannot wait for the Damage Buff on the Doms.

There will always be other TFs and challenges. Just let me know and I'll try to make it.

ummmm if thats referring to me, i told the team i was afk as i had an important phone call with the police that happened in the mish. as for the rest of it its too bad that it did not work out well. i do have to say that i was annoyed too with the guy who kept saying lets do something else. i'm up for giving it another run with dom's, blasters or whatever.

We usually do the ACTF (with doms & trollers mixed) and have a total blast. It USED to be a weekly thing (hint hint to the founder of that *Mental Maden*)

Well now that the MIM World BBQ Championship is over, chances are you'll see more frequent ACTFs down the road; I'm especially excited to see the new SF/TFs coming in i15.

Sorry to hear about the Dom team. It sounds like some people don't "get" what the whole purpose of something like this is. It's not about merits, or builds or sets or even who wins. It's about a bunch of people of like ATs getting together and having fun, no matter if you win, lose or draw. (if you have fun, you usually end up with the prize anyway)

That said, I (and Vixen did the same) try to run a pretty tight ship when I run and All AT TF. To run one effectively and for the benefit (fun and prizes) of everyone playing I make sure any potential loose canons know to leave before we even get started. And I do it without having to get mean. You just have to establish simple rules before hand, make sure everyone understands them and if they don't; get rid of them before they start causing problems. And this is in no way a stab at BB for taking over the duties for the Dom team, just a general FYI.

And no I won't quit as long as my team won't.

It is hard to do a TF when others don't work as a team or even want to be there. I would not mind trying something like this again as long as people want to play the TF.

Maybe do a Hero Vs Villain Run. Where 1 or each of the basic AT's must be on the team. LGTF would be better, as the "Rikti Message is a good indication of the TF completion"

First things first kay did a awesome job of trying to gather 8 doms. The person who complained the whole time got bored waiting on the tf to start. The person who said they was there because Alien asked him was being honest. He came because I friend asked dont see how they even made the list. The stealthing your complaining about was just that to win the challenge after all it was a contest right? Two players not having sets sigh atleast they showed up to try and do the wacked challenge. He did say he was going afk dont know if you missed it.
This challenge was wacked to begin with If you wanted to be fair and realtic about the challenge corr's. should of been added to the dom team. Controllers have the ablility to buff and debuff. Not to mention they have heals. No dom sets or no sets can take those hits without someone to heal them. Alien and Vixen set the doms up to lose to begin with putting it on lvl 5. If it had been lvl 1 the doms could of atleast made a proper attempt at finishing it. Otherswise they were gonna fail.
I personally would like to thank those doms that did show most weren't even on the list to even play in the contest. They did what they could Im not placing blame on anyone who was on the team. Atleast they attempted to do it knowing full well it wasnt gonna happen. Unlike someone else.

i really thought the Dom's would walk thru this. we were so light on damage it was thru sheer stubbornness that we bullied Rommy.

No offense and just to clarify, this was a 'challenge' not a 'contest'.

As part of Team Stubborn, I had a lot of fun, even when Rommie kept repeatedly eating my Phantasm. I guess Rommie didn't like my attempt to milk him. o_o

Nor did he like anything remotely debuffing him from my sonic arsenal.

Sorry that everything blew up. I would've come along but my highest Controller here is a level 2 nameholder and the highest Dominator is level 14.

I'm not sure what was going on with either team but some of the fingerpointing after the fact makes me .

oops ok challenge sorry! Let me clarify I was one of the doms with just regular io's didnt know we had to have sets for this challenge. I went to have a good time lost no biggie. I got to play with grass and kay so all was good in the end. Ended up making a new friend on villian side. To come on boards to see a list of complaints from a fellow member of the team didnt sit right with me.

i'll say i had fun on it thats not questionable, i just wish we would have finished it so i could get my shinney. for my afk it was just bad timming as i had to talk to the police about a RL matter and it needed to be resovled. no i'm not gonna be doing jail time lol

i was on dom team and i had fun, i allways have fun in the game cuz thats all it is a game. its too bad we all quit and didn't restart like i had mentioned but too late i guess when i did. but you are true in what you say Ditz, guardian is the official "Drama Server" and that is all it is and i accept it and play here lol

What plan Doc?
Everyone quit and say we won? At least the hero wanted to do the ITF. No one forced you into it. You chose to be there, just like everyone else.

The Sets:
Most people usually have some set bonus's. I was under the assumption that most of the people going to be on this run would have been a perma dom or at least semi close to it. But we know what happens when you assume.

I play to have fun and the occassional challenge. Sorry that it seemed most of the team did not even want to do an all dom ITF.

I only got sad because i was having fun... But i am weird... I get more fun when the baddies are cleaning the floor with my face! I was cheering on the inside when my dominations kicked in... I love to turn the baddies against each other!

I think it was possible to finish it. But we needed to stop thinking about a normal team, and start thinking about doms! Rushing against mobs is something against our playstyle... First we need to control/defuse the enemies... then we need to kick then to oblivion... Thats what I tried to do...

Um well I been on leave from coh because my best friend died and I don't feel like playing right now, I been working on the house anyways trying to get it ready to be sold and playing D20 games with hubby & our friends when we play, we are gonna start playing one soon in memory of our friend that passed away.

It's been a tough two weeks, I know Nerf been pretty busy and I have not heard from Subway in awhile, I also said I was taking my hat off with PERC because of everything thats been going on, rl sadness, rl busyness, and its just to much right now to get a moment to relax and part of me hates the fact I will never see my best friends name lit up on my global anymore.

Drama is guardian yes
Threadjacking is guardian yes
Cookies is guardian yes
but not much drama really until certain people come around
but hey they are the drama!
As long as everyone has fun thats all that matters!

So don't say get on it if you don't read all the forums...

Sigh Guardian isnt the only server with drama. Ive played on Virtue and Freedom they both have drama.
But your right BB Im sure the ones that signed up for the challenged more than likely had perma dom. We just came to have fun and play our doms. We weren't prepared for the itf. But my dom isnt a toon I care to spend 500-900 mil on to perma dom. She is just for fun and I have 15 others toons to get to before her.
