'Max Level' or 'Level Range' Tab?
yes, it is very badly needed
Right now it's pretty pointless since every mission in an arc can potentially have wildly different level ranges. This should hopefully change "soon".
Arc #41077 - The Men of State
Arc #48845 - Operation: Dirty Snowball
There's supposedly something on the way along these lines. Nothing concrete announced yet, though.
"If I had Force powers, vacuum or not my cape/clothes/hair would always be blowing in the Dramatic Wind." - Tenzhi

Level ranges is an announced feature for i15.

This isn't necessarily a down side to the idea. If you search by a max level, or by a level range, you just only return arcs which have all missions adhering to that criteria.
@Mindshadow
I agree with the OP. There are reasons why other MMOs have avoiding adding player created content to their games. The biggest and most relevent reason is of course, player abuse. Let's face it, the vast majority players will always look for shortcuts to get to where they want. It's human nature. This doesn't mean that they'll be willing to hack or cheat, it just means that they will use the easiest method as allowable by the game to advance their goals. That is the main achievement for AE so far, which was to provide an easy and convienent method for players to get what they want even faster than before.
This is why I find it hilarious that the devs are now getting so indignant about how players are using AE to farm and PL. Come now, any 16 year old MMO kid could've figured that part out without using the benefit of hindsight. CoX has opened the Pandoras Box and now they have to deal with all the problems that come with it.
If you read the Devs posts they always expected exploits to be a problem with MA and have always said that exploits and exploiters will be dealt with.
The fact that something may be exploitable is no reason to avoid releasing it. Under that reasoning you shouldn't have released the whole game. Every change, AT, powerset may be exploitable, but the fact is that unless someone catches AND reports it in testing the only way to find them is to release it and find them that way.
Although I will agree that I don't understand how the MA badges got out the door. 100 missions is a lotta missions. This not only encouraged cheating but discouraged people from playing anything longer than "Short" and made Neutral missions as popular as lepers with Swine flu.
Thousands of players are MUCH more inventive than the Devs will ever be. I remember many posts about how surprised they were about how the game initially developed.
To the TAB issue, this will be a good addition plus getting any mobs with level issues like Carnies fixed (lowest level is 30 villian but 40 hero so if a level 10 hero spawns a Carnie mission they will be bumped to 30 but mobs will be 40).

You can't please everyone, so lets concentrate on me.

What does any of that have to do with search engine funciton?
Dec out.
Being able to search by Level under the Search Options tab (like you can for Rating, Length, Morality and Locale) would be a nice addition to the UI.
Apparently, I play "City of Shakespeare"
*Arc #95278-Gathering the Four Winds -3 step arc; challenging - 5 Ratings/3 Stars (still working out the kinks)
*Arc #177826-Lights, Camera, Scream! - 3 step arc, camp horror; try out in 1st person POV - 35 Ratings/4 Stars
