Puppy at the summer movies-SPOILERS
That's acceptable. Some fans out there get really passionate about these kinds of things which producers tend to underestimate. Hence why X3 did poorly. Friends of mine said in comparison, it wasn't as bad as X3 but suffered issues that X3 was remembered for. In general it sounds like the producers understood the mistakes made by X3 and tried to compensate but instead tried doing it in a relative identical manner yet focused a little more with cameos.... In regards to a fan subject, probably no doubt it's a failure but otherwise if it's new; no harm done if you actually enjoyed it.
Sort of like the Resident Evil movies, if you actually played the game you'd have realized just how much full of bullocks that was the franchise on the big screen. Having never played the games myself, watching the movies on the big screen and then did a little research of the games on my own; I can sympathize with the fans as to why they felt offended by it.
I thought X3 did poorly because it's a terrible, terrible movie.
OK, in this movie the lab was NOT at the dam...also...
(Spoiler ahead)
In X2 Stryker says to Wolverine.. 'its been..15 years since weve seen each other...' Cyclops in the Wolverine movie is in high school..they kind of imply the x-men from the first few movies are, in there early 20's at the most..so how old is Cyclops? It doesnt fit with him being in the Wolvering movie..and no real reason fro him being there.

and waaaay to many other alts to mention right now
Can't disagree with that. They did do poorly. Although the cartoon did focus on a Mutant Cure but it turned out to be a lie created by Apocalypse with the help of Mystique.
The action Was enjoyable for actions sake, but plotwise, storywise..EPIC FAILURE!! Not only does it not blend in with the continuity of the comics, it doesnt even blend in with the continuity of the movies.
I understand they have to alter things from comic book franchise to movie franchise, but stay true to one or the other. This movie stayed true to neither.

Hey now... don't diss Resident Evil the movie. Sure it wasn't great but it did have a bit of choice nekkidness in it. In retrospect perhaps it would have been better as a ten second film I will grant you, but it wasn't all bad.
I liked the Resident Evil movies. Expected little, got it every time.
At least in the first two. Third was truly horrible.

Have you seen Albert Wesker in RE5? That dude would pwn Alice in a heart beat. The nakkidness I can forgo, there's plenty more in Watchmen, while Mila is gorgeous; it can be a pass easily. I'd even watch Underworld Evolution for the nakkidness.
Now, now, let's not argue over the nekkidness and which movies are better then others when it comes to being unclothed. Rather let us join together to call for even more nekkidness in the cinema.
And to get back to the subject of the thread, I caught the Wolvie movie last night and was fairly underwhelmed. It wasn't the worst movie I've seen, not even the worst X-Men movie I've seen, but it just didn't have much going for it. That having been said it's a perfectly acceptable popcorn movie to go see if there isn't that much else out that catches your eye.

Was there nekkidness in Wolverine? Because that's the only thing it'd have going for it, according to the reviews I've heard.
Anyone else ticked about the lame after credits scene?
Thats on my list of complaints too!!! The movie sucked from beginning to end..and after the credits too!!

Eh, Resident Evil wasn't too bad (Never played any before RE4). The second movie was pretty abysmal. "Resident Evil 2: Zombies in Love". Seriously? I never saw him in the game, but Nemesis is something to be feared, not pitied.
As far as Wolverine...Well, if they can utterly [censored] Phoenix, I fear what they can do to a complex story like Logan's. And from the look of things, Deadpool is there in name only. So yeah...Waiting 'til I can see it for free.
The off-beat space pirate...Capt. Stormrider (50+3 Elec/Storm Science Corruptor)
The mysterious Djinn...Emerald Dervish (50+1 DB/DA Magic Stalker)
The psychotic inventor...Dollmaster (50 Bot/FF Tech Mastermind)
Virtue Forever.

Am I weird for actually liking this movie? I know there's always a barrier between "diehard fan of the original comic" and "regular schmoe who only has a passing knowledge of the universe." I was never real big into X-men so I don't know how many unfaithful or contradictory moments there were. As a general action flick, I thought it was pretty enjoyable.

no not wierd im guessing a "small percentage" of people will like im just saying its not my cup of tea. it could have been lot better and im disappointed that the writers thought so little of us
as Ood Sigma said....We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to your sleep. This song is ending. But the story never ends.

SG Mate: Cien, what the hell is this Rookery thing?
RadDidIt: (interjecting) Dude. It's the Rookery.
SG Mate: Yeah, but what IS it?
RadDidIt: Silliness Incarnate.

"X-Men:First Class" (working title) is currently under development. It is supposed to focus on the characters that were students in the previous episodes (Rogue, Iceman, Colossus, Shadow Kat, etc...)

And yet, somehow, Wolverine will be in it.

Well duh. He's the most popular of the Xmen franchise I think
Honestly, I think he's the 'most popular' because they keep shoving him down everyone's throat. Like Paris Hilton, he had a nice nudge to stardom, but now he's mostly famous for being famous.
SG Mate: Cien, what the hell is this Rookery thing?

Nah, Spiderman outclasses him I think... IronMan probably now does as well.
