What does a high school education have to do with the fact that a new player to this game isn't going to automatically know what the colors next to the servers mean.
And the colors mean server load not population. If a server starts having technical issues, it will shoot to the top or the bottom of the list and the colors will change, depending on its current load, regardless of how many or how few players are connected to it

Obviously Freedom and Virtue have higher populations, but being able to figure out which have the most doesn't mean you know how many people are on the others. Some players mistakenly believe the server load incidator colors show the population levels of the servers and that population is "low" on the others.
Low compared to Freedom, perhaps, but that's still plenty of people. Server load indicators are related to but do not directly reflect server population - a small number of people doing the right (or wrong, as the case may be) things can cause as much load as a far greater number of players.
New players sometimes assume that if they don't play on a server with two dots or more, they won't be able to get teams. This isn't even remotely true.
