That's the boat I'm in. I could probably take the day off but I would never hear the end of it when she and the kids would want to go to the beach or something.
I have to admit, that I have taken days off for COH events in the past (when I was still a single-guy and not a family-guy). It's just harder to do now. Especially with my step-daughter wanting to hog the COH-time on the computer away from me.
I took the day off to go to Manticore and Sister Psyche's wedding, actually. 
It was well worth it.

LOL! My boys are 4 and 16 months. It'll be a while until I have to compete with them for computer time.
Yep, kids take up a lot of time. Most of my CoX time is late nights on weekends when everyone in the house is sleeping. I tend to meet rather, (ahem), "interesting" folks online at that time of night. 
My daughter is 2.5. She sits on my lap and pilots my scrapper sometimes.

I just scheduled half a day of vacation for the 28th. Told the boss I... had a plumber coming over to work on my water line, yeah, that's it!
I'll miss the first hour or two of the goings on, and I'll miss all the fun on Victory since I split my time mainly between Guardian and Virtue, but I'm looking forward to a marathon session of whatever the devs have in store for us nonetheless.

Hamster is the reason why I turned my back on the Victory forums... and also migrated my main and two others off the server to Virtue at first opportunity.

I always seem to get "sick" on CoH holidays. I had a terrible flu the last double xp weekend, as far as my work knows, anyway...
I considered taking the day/ half a day off myself, but I'm already getting enough ridicule from my coworkers for playing this game too much.
