MA V 2.0 wishlist.
Cutscenes

No way. Too many people would abuse cutscenes by making an hour and a half long list of text for the scene itself. which, short of ctrl+alt+del locks you into the mish without any escape.

Of course there would need to be a time limit .
Besides, the main reason people create AE missions is so others could enjoy their stories - and farming sadly. I doubt someone would intentionally ruin all their hardwork.
Oh well....

To prevent this, the devs would put a limit on the number of actions that can take place and the delay between each action that takes place in the cut scene, along with a limit of 1 cut scene per "event", just as they did with ambushes. If you sense that the arc is going to be one long series of cut scenes, you can leave after the next cut scene. I doubt the devs would ever put cut scenes in without considerations for cut scene duration.
-More maps and the ability to clearly set locations for bosses, objects or spawns (using a mutation of the map thumbtack element in game or just a choice for "boss spawn point a,b,c" etc.)
-Maybe even a player created mapping tool and database?
-More random items to use as mission objects to help keep in story
-More proactive customization of custom critter powers so we can add or omit powers within a set more selectively
-Improved custom group logic so we can tag critters as unique or dime a dozen for spawning purposes without having to alter their level.
-Tagged categorization for missions. Keeps the farm missions out of the way of more plot driven work, plus I would like to be able to see a good dramatic story reach the same height as a good comedy or what have you. With the current system it is difficult to find what you are in the mood for in a way that does not depend on good search-fu.
-Take it a step further and have part of the final screen let the end player recommend a genre as well and you have a nice and tidy solution to farms masquerading as any other type of mission.
I just want to search by "level" of the MArcs. I hate looking through all these arcs, and seeing them all level 40+, when I just want to play on my level 10 Controller for a bit. Being able to tag your MArc as 'intended' for certain level ranges would be a blessing.
Even if the Arc allows levels 1-54, Custom Critters and Council, it would be nice to tag the arc as intended for players level 20-40, because of the difficulty of the Custom Critters.
Or to have an Arc where the levels bounce around a bit (30-54, 40-54, 20-50) and be able to have an official level selection that you can pick the Arc to be search-able by people looking to do content from 40-50, because that's what you intend the arc to be played at.
So I could (in the hypothetical world with this system in place) do a search for MArcs tagged to be playable by a Level 20, and not get arcs filled with enemies level 45+, or missions where the levels are capped at 14. Not because the content is no good, but because I'd like to play something I where I can preform at the 'expected' level.
Things I would like to see.
A difficulty slider in test mode.
The ability to cap custom mobs at a certain level
The ability to have hostages escorted to objectives
The ability to trigger glowies.

- More maps
- Customizable maps/tilesets
- Precision control of mob locations OR more control over what is "front/back/middle"
- Increased arc size
- Allow more than 3 arcs
- Allow selection of "mood music" and location of that mood music on the map.
- Allow creation of "bank" missions
- Creation of a MA "PDA" device, like a radio, so you can treat these missions like regular radio missions and not have to be chained to the MA building.
- Random MA Picker, so everyone's arcs can have an equal chance to be played
- Some anti-griefing code added to MA - there have been a million suggestions, many of which would help alleviate the problem.
- Searchable category added to the arc details, so you can describe your arc as "story", "farm", "comedy", etc.

My greatest hopes and dreams for the MA are:
<ul type="square">[*]Better searching options.[*]More hospital maps[*]Access to some of the more common regular mob power sets (pistols and rocks would be awesome to start)[*]The ability to tint the colors on existing mobs (I need to have a mission full of hot pink snowmen at some point or my head will asplode)[*]More ways to get more story arc slots. I'd be willing to pay.[/list]

My top 3 MUST HAVES are...
1) The ability to edit existing NPC's costumes (Pink-kilt wearing Statesman, anyone?) I ask this because my arc involves one of the other Aspects of Rularuu, and to make the final Archvillain, I had to make a normal sized guy with sliders to the max, and pale, whitish skin. If I could use Faathim the Kind's model, and edit the skin, I'd have a joygasm....
2) The ability to choose where certain mobs can spawn. Every instanced map has a set boss spawn point, a place where it has a chance of spawning the mission's boss against the other spots. What I mean is, when you are choosing the map in the AE editor, I'd like the map previews to have a blue/red dot (green is reserved for elevators) that allows you to activate it as a possible boss spawning point. That way, I can have the boss always spawn in a nice open room rather than having half his body being clipped by the Hallway ceiling.
3) The ability to create your own mission maps via the base editor. Very unlikely, but imagine the fun and delights everyone would have, although the farmers would happily abuse this...
-Create a mastermind: Pick MM then pick a enemy set and you get a MM who will summon 3 minions 2 leuts and 1 boss of that set.
-select power pools for your critter. So I can have a phasing enemy or people who super speed.
-create a powerset: be able to swap powers or other of the same teir power. Make a regen who can use unstoppable, or a claws scrapper who might toss in a tornado.
We all know that this version of the Mission Architect is just the first pass, and we are going to be seeing more additions to it in the future. But what sort of things would you like to see added?
Here are two of mine:
-Greater control over bosses. I mainly want to be able to cause a specific boss to ambush the player when an objective is completed.
-The addition of Shadow Shard maps. These maps are just way too cool not to be added to the second pass. Not only are they very neat looking, they are versatile, and we conceivably pass them off as everything from the interior of a deranged persons mind to heaven.
