2nd Uniform

Have the devs ever mentioned giving Arachnos epics another uniform?

The reason I ask is because I want to use the 2nd build option to do a Fortunata, but I have no interest looking like a Night Widow using Fortunata powers.

That stinks. Oh well I guess no Fortunata for me then.

I'd love to have a second uniform slot.. as that way i could actually have a different costumes for my Night Widow/Fortunata, instead of just one that i have now.

It'd be nice if we just had a checkbox so we could pick whether we want "widow" or "normal" costumes. Same goes for Banes/Crabs. Some of us would like more than one outfit. We'd still have the same number of costume slots, we could just decide which ones we wanted for what purposes.

Thats the exact reason why I won't be playing a 2nd build for the Fortunata powers. Right now my uniform looks exactly like a Night Widow sans the gloves and I wanted to make her look like the Fortunata's, but since we can't do that I won't be able to play a Fortunata unless I make another Widow which I won't or they give us another uniform slot.

I was pretty shocked when I got my SoA to level 10 and discovered this as well.

One of the coolest things about the VEATs are their color custom Arachnos uniforms... but you can only have one? Why?

Personally I'm just having to save/load all my VEAT costume designs in the creator and stop at the tailor and pay every time I want to switch.

I thought of doing that, but then I figured what if I am in the middle of a SF or something, I dn't want to venture all the way to a tailor to have that done.

Maybe one day they will allow us to have another custom uniform.

It'd be nice to have the ability to have a 2nd costume slot for our uniforms. Its not an exploit, or a game breaking mechanic, so I don't understand why we haven't been given one yet, or at least an answer as to why we can't have one.

In all honesty I wouldn't doubt if the ability to be a widow/fortuna and crab/wolf wasn't something the devs intended when they created the dual build system. For the most part they were probably thinking primarily a PvE and PvP build. The ability to go both branches was just a side effect they didn't really consider or care about. Because of that though we get the issues where now a second costume would be nice or the crab spider backback stuck on any soldier builds. Although I agree it would be nice to have a second costume.

I understand it's annoying and i'd feel exactly the same if i had an SoA... but why restrict yourself?

You could always make the two build and save the two costume. In normal play, when you have the time, you could play any you want. If you're in a TF and can,t change the costume, no worries. It's what you'd be doing presently, not changing build. But at least, you get to play both at other times. ( or you could do something like 1 week each before switching again)

I vote for a button at the tailor that lets VEATs decide if they want to create an SoA costume or a 'normal' costume. Shouldn't be hard to do, and would make a lot of people very happy.

To be totally honest with you I really don't care if I don't play a Fortunata because I LOVE LOVE LOVE Night Widows and have since I first saw them as an NPC. I just figured to myself, "hey I don't PvP so why not use this other build for a Fortunata," and even though I don't play them it would be nice to have. I will probably still end up doing the build, but I won't slot it and won't play it until we get that second uniform.

I would even be okay if they made it so that you could do the normal set up like it is now, or you could only have have 2 uniforms and no other slots. That would make me happy because I have only been out of my uniform twice, once during the hero mission for one of the contacts I can't remember and the 2nd time for Darrin Wade when you infiltrate the Midnight Club.

I might be completely missing the point here but I have 3 separate costumes with my crab....can't get rid of the stupid backpack though.

They probably won;t let us have the other costume because there would not be much of a reason to level the other type of character.

I honestly think with our other slots we should be able to choose between Custom Costume or an Arachnos Costume. I am not saying saying mix the two saying we choose what kind of slot we want it to be.

Yeah I think you're missing the point. I will explain.

Currently we have 1 uniform slot and 4 costume slots. Since we can do the dual build set up, I would like to have another uniform slot so that I can make my Night Widow look like a Fortunata should I decide to use the Fotunata build.

Right now if I were to play the Fortunate build I would look like a Night Widow and I don't like that.

That's what this thread is about.

Leveling the other character has nothing to do with having another uniform because you automatically get leveled on each build as you level up.

Yeah I still have the crab legs on my bane build, that is lame. Unless it has been fixed haven't tried it in awhile.

I can understand where you are coming from. I feel this pain more so for my SoA because I would like to have a slot for the bane/crab armor, and one for the wolf spider armor. My widow is a bit different. I went without the helm, and went with a color scheme I enjoy. She is more alike to the unique widow NPCs ala Ghost Widow than she is the more generic fortunata/nw. The VEAT story line only enforces this more. I'd love to have a helmet-less bane/wolf costume as well. It would feel even more like the character broke away from the mold. Hmmm

I just want the 2nd slot for looks purposes. My character resembles a Night Widow because is.....well a Night Widow. Her story is what makes her unique and the epic story so far has meshed quite well.

I would think the Devs would have known that people would want to have more than a single uniform because who would want to say they made a Soldier or Widow and that character loves Arachnos, etc etc. As soon as I knew about Villian epics, I knew my character would not like Arachnos and would branch of and do her own thing, a la Nocturne, Veluta, etc and if they make the crossover trial in future issues I will most definitely have her changing sides.

Did the devs every give a reason that you can’t just mix and match the veat costume parts in with the rest of the costumes. For me the costumes are half the fun of making the toon and leveling them. I might not be willing to spend over a mil inf on a enhancement but I’ll gladly drop 10 times that on getting all the costume parts I can for the toon.

Clipping issues. The NPC costumes aren't designed to work the same way as player costumes, they aren't modular. They did meantion that they could have maked a costume that looked similar to the NPC arachnos costumes that could have worked right, but it would have been noticably different from the NPC.

I'm not even sure why we don't have helmet-less wolfspiders since the option seems to actually be in game, you just can't see it unless the character gets a rather odd glitch.

I jsut want to be able to add back stuff. I need my wings. Actually what I need is an arachnos styled raptor pack but since we're not getting back packs of any kind as costumes I'll have to live with the regualr raptor pack.

*sigh* the Wing Spiders will never fly....
