    Team Leadership

At low level it’s not as bad its tends to get more bothersome at higher level you can’t always find that tank/healer/dps you need and they you start ruing into players that are constantly whining about something. It’s still not bad you can just kick them tell them to stop but after a while it just drags on you. You just want to play and not be having to keep the team cohesive. At times you start to feel like you’re having to play the part of a parent. Hay you stop aggroing before the tank, if you go afk anymore I’m going to kick you. Good heals/buffs, you go pull some mobs everybody else wait here for them to come.

It’s not a big deal really 80% of the time that I’ve done it I know I’ll take the job if I don’t see anybody else stepping up to the plate. I’ve seen good groups fall apart just because the leader leaves also and I don’t really get why.

What surprising me the most though is how many people I’ve see start groups that don’t even know the game has a search function. Or you’ll find your way into a ma team only to have the leader say so who knows a good mish? Or has no idea how the difficulty setting works. Still some can be rather amusing to watch before they fall apart. I remember the last boss farm I went on (it was a blind invite) it was all level 54 custom mobs I’d done it a few times its rather fun but doesn’t really have much room for error your either going to do semi good or wipe. And here we are a group with not a player over level 20. As soon as you get on the map you know what’s going to happen but still the leader and most of team is of the mindset we can do it I just did this with another group. Never did it dawn on them that the other group was carrying them they somehow got it in their heads that all those other level 40+ toon with Io’s out the wazoo didn’t really matter. So you just kinda fallow a bit farther behind the rest watch that first boss slaughter everbody but you and the other guy that had the good sense to not aggro anything.

No I’m not complaining about farms or starting a debate I’m just commenting on the fact that most of the times the better leaders are the ones that don’t want to do it like the op at first. While the guys that are horrible at it are the ones that constantly want the star from the get go.
  2. I guess it depends on your idea of boring. I’ve gone through a lot of missions of both types. And frankly either way I tend not to read them. I like the game play in cox I didn’t really start playing in hopes of finding some literary genius whether it was a developer or a play who made a mish on the MA system. If I wanted a story that had a wonderfully dry and dark sense of humor or a telling story of love bitter betrayal and the world’s most awesome ham sandwich I’d go pick up a book.

What I think many are going to have to accept is if you want to try and find a bit of Shakespeare or Spielberg in the ma system is that both these creative talents are if anything few and far between. And the medium that is the MA system is rather new and missing quite a few tools that would help in the story telling department. Maybe once the would be pantheons of greater MA story telling find their voices or better grasp of how to use the pen that is the MA to craft their tails of intrigue and adventure. You’ll have a bit more to choose from.

Also and this is more a personnel pet peeve then anything else on my part you’re not paying the player base in cox to entertain you. Their creating their own mission and stories in their own way because they find It fun for them to do. Not because it makes anyone else happy. Trying to read though a paragraph of dialog milliseconds before the baddy and friends starts to try and bash the group’s heads in or while developing a strategy to prevent this isn’t really what some consider fun. Some would even go as far as to say it’s downright destructive to the pacing of their game play. We all have a different idea of what fun and boring are and if you’re finding that the greater majority of players don’t seem to like the same missions you do I’d take that as a hint of how to better refine my searching for missions. Check to see who published the missions you tend to like or the description of them rather than the star rating system. If the star rating system was any indication of what everybody wanted all we’d have was farms of Rikiti and a kaleidoscope of colored cat people with dual swords that couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn.

Sorry about that list bit it’s off topic and a rather nasty can of worms to be prying open but some of us just want to find a group and play the game while some times quickly chatting in the lull between the combat. MMO are ongoing processes of updates and plugging hole created by those updates. It’s nothing really new or unsurprising.
  3. Been playing for about 3 months now and made a window. I got her to 27 now or about there can’t really remember I stopped leveling when she hit 24 to avoid the respect. Thing is I don’t really know what to go with. I’ve not made toons that use any mental attacks outside of the secondary on a blaster. And what little I’ve seen of a claws toon I don’t really like because the attacks are slow not the animation per say but it takes them a while to come back on and I like pushing buttons hate waiting for cool downs every quart second of not having some button to push makes me feel like I’m wasting time.

So I was thinking of going with a melee tuna or range. Both sound fun I do group about 90% of the time so mindlink does sound fun also aoe’s I like those.

That’s what I’ve come up with so far I don’t know if it would work in any way shape or form. I think it’s mostly centered on attack. And that could be a bad idea. I didn’t list any io’s but being new I’m poor so. That means I’m going to go with what I can get cheap. Generic io’s so’s and maybe a few set enhancements if I can get them for not too much. I know I like dart burst and psychic Scream. Any help would be appreciated.

    2nd Uniform

Did the devs every give a reason that you can’t just mix and match the veat costume parts in with the rest of the costumes. For me the costumes are half the fun of making the toon and leveling them. I might not be willing to spend over a mil inf on a enhancement but I’ll gladly drop 10 times that on getting all the costume parts I can for the toon.
  5. Don’t know if anybody else has gotten this problem or maybe I’m not doing something right but just can’t seem to get the witch corset to connect to the skirt at all. I’ve tried different setups but I can’t seem to get it like the promo picture. Jay is sexy
