Platinum Class rolls
I'm still dumbfounded that you get influence for having your character play in a virtual simulation.

Can I earn the respect of the president and all foreign leaders by just playing mega man 3?
lol
There is no sensisble way to restrict purple recipes to tickets dropped for high level content.
Therefore this idea is basically a non-starter, as no way of fighting low level mobs should have a way of created purple drops.

Um, as far as I'm aware, any critter that can generate a lvl 50 drop can drop a purple recipe. So just run dev-choiced arcs with lvl 50 enemies in them, and sooner or later you should get a purple drop.

I don't see a problem with offering a Platinum Class roll that gives you a random purple recipe at 10k tickets.
(You might want to think about this for a moment if it seems game-breaking to you,)

Yes. Yes, I like that.

Then you don't know how few tickets 10K is. I earn 5K per mish, and there are many that do. I'd have a build fully slotted with purples in a matter of days, the Devs did not intend this. (Yes, you CAN purchase them off the market, but that requires millions and millions of influence that you've already got to have, so there is still a barrier to acquisition).
With the projected ratio of Purples to Rare drops being estimated at 6:1, going from 4K to 10K tickets is so completely disproportional it's laughable..not to mention the 9999 cap we currently have (in place to discourage hoarding and abuse of the system).
Either you're already grinding tickets and know how easy it would be at 10K or you can't earn Purples on your own and want the market prices to drop as supply increase.
The POINT of Purples is that NOT everyone has them or will have them, but that they are available..if you're playing for Purples for no other reason..you're missing the point.
I'd be okay with them costing 10k each >.>

PS. The 9999 ticket limit is the point of the 10k ticket cost joke, Blasta. >.>
Jokes are no fun when you explain them. Especially when she pointed out the limit in her post, and it still didn't sink in.
ROTFLMAO!
The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah, that is quite a number. Best I've done is 5,500 per hour.
Next run I'll take a screen shot getting 5,500 tickets for end mission bonus. Total I got 11,000 tickets and change in hour and a half. I stepped outside to spend some tickets before completing to avoid wasted tickets from the 9,999 cap. If there was a platinum random roll for purples at 9,999 it would make me rich for a short time as I'm sure sooner or later purples value would drop dramatically.

Considering that gold rolls are only 4k, I doubt that any purple roll would be that cheap, especially considering the exponential growth in cost based upon rarity.
Hence the suggestion they be 10 000 exactly.

We have bronze, silver, and gold rolls for the MA, this was implemented to make up for the fact that one could live their toon's entire life in the MA and not miss out on much (except story arcs of course, but thats what Ouro is for right?) So the rolls are sposed to be the MA'ers source and lifeblood for PvE drops.
Thus we have the bronze rolls for our pool a's, the silver rolls for some pool b's (or a's), and we get our pool c's and d's from the gold rolls.
The funny thing is, we can get HOs, but we can't get ultra rares? Perhaps they should fix this, give us platinum class rolls, which is a random purple drop, but of course they'd have to make it like 8k to 10k tickets worth I'd bet. The point is at least they wouldn't be exclusive to the real PvE world.
Tickets and merits are very similiar in that you can buy what you want in a way, except merits are a bit more specific in that you can literally pick what recipe you want. I can understand why purple recipes we're excluded from the merit vendor store, but to exclude them from MA seems a little wrong. Unless purple recipes must absolutely be a boon to the real PvE world, I think they ought to give the MA'ers a way to get them strictly through the ticket vendor, even if it is pricey.
Just a thought.
