SPIRITS
Spirits is a general term for alcoholic liquors above a certain strength. The term is not restricted to alcoholic beverages, but also includes industrial alcohols such as methylated spirits.

Lol, I know what spirits are. I was making a joke.
As in, you say, what if we don't want to get drunk, and I make a statement that implies I can not understand why someone wouldn't want to be drunk.
It makes me look like a heavy drinker, you see.

I'll be there
Oh, and as a note for the heroside newbies - Sister Psyche is on the inland side of the hospital in Independence Port (facing the front of the hospital, it's on the right). Since it's a TF you really just have to be in the zone, but if you were wanting to see where she's at, now you can go there without trying to figure it out by using /loc and the wiki (which I had to do the first time I signed up for one of these).
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.
|
She's right next to Aura Borialis, the trainer, who will show up on your map.
It's imparative we start on time, so I'll see you all in the zone at 6 pm. I have to stop on time tonight and don't want to run into Thursday. We're going to stealth and speed the snot out of this one.
By the way, I am caffinated to the point of twitching. It's my Fat Tuesday tradition.
From the Adventure Log of Countess Clink Clank
Tonight, while Patches was off on some quest of his own, the rest of the guild set forth on a series of tasks for Sister Psyche. We have concluded she may be the oddest nun we've ever encountered.
Employing great guile, speed, and stealth, we were able to conclude our adventures within our normal time slot. Congratulations were due all around, but especially to Lotus Cri for her amazing scouting abilities, Aluriel for her fighting abilities, and the Baronne for hers.
Next session should find us at our full-strength again, and we'll continue to save the haunted township for the encroachment of the supernatural. We'll continue with that again on Tuesday, and next Thursday, in eight days, I understand the Baronne has a quest of her own. While she is gone, we may be complete a quest for the hero Citadel, although I remain torn as to if that is the best course of action or not.
Hm, what else is available? Respec trial would grant XP, as would the Oroboros initiations. We could always turn XP off, but that kind of defeats the purpose. I stayed on last night after we were done and ended up turning XP off after I hit 28, and it's like perpetual exemp with less inf. Hess TF? I'm halfway to unlocking it.
My wife had to stay up late last night transferring files from her old laptop onto the new (old one went back to former work today). Since I had time, I ran through Old Toby's missions in Striga and got the werewolves. I now have Lars' storyarc and am on the way to getting access to the Hess TF. If I get time during the weekend, I'll turn XP off again and burn through Lars' missions, and we'll have Hess available for next Thursday.
Ugh, sleep. It was fun, but now my eyes are paying the price.
Statesmonkey Sez: Lighten up! It's a game, for Lincoln's sake!
Also: Six years of casual play begins to look an awful lot like one year of hardcore play.
Yes, the Hess would be my preference, although the Baronne is the one we really wanted to show it to.
The Terra Volta Trial might be worth doing once.
Bear with me as I undergo caffine withdrawel.
Of course, the Citadel is required for the accolade, which is why I think doing those once they're outleveled is good. It doesn't push the rest of the team ahead of one person.
Of course, if only one person is missing, maybe it should be on them to catch back up?
Thoughts?
I'm not going to catch back up. I cant bring myself to play blue side for longer than it takes me to sell or slot myself, unless I have you guys to make it bearable.

Our plan for tonight:
Continue with the Croatoa arcs. Run a safeguard if we don't hit 30. Continue in Croatoa next Tuesday. The Thursday after, run the Hess TF.
Usually, this is where an in-charecter adventure log would go. And it would have been a great one, including how we got our butts kicked by a giant gourd-with-attitude.
But I still feel pretty "bleh" and suspect whatever this is isn't all caffine, so... adventure log much later if at all.
Sorry to hear that Textilian, I much enjoy reading your journals. Even though I don't RP, I love reading the stories!
Get feeling better soon!

@Necromanis
Wait, we have an audience? Well crud, if I knew I was up in the lights, I'd perform better.
Civil and I pounded out most of Lars' arc Thursday after folks logged out. I managed to finish it today, so we can now run the Hess TF if we please. Yay, merits and nifty content!
I also spent the vast majority of said merits on a low-level Miracle +Rec, which means each merit was worth approx. 300,000 inf. That seemed like a good rate of exchange. I'm likely to just spend the rest on random rolls, but I'd be interested in hearing how other folks are spending theirs.

I spent all of my early merits on a minimum level -KB IO which was pretty much mandatory. Since then I've been taking random rolls every 20 merits.
Mostly I get trash, but I did get a few worth 1-2 million, and 1 low level Stealth IO that left me pretty set for my basic needs for the time being.

I'm not immune to flattery, when I'm not suffering from headaches.
From the Adventure Log of Countess Clink Clank
We returned to the haunted township, intending to assist with their fight on the encroachment of the supernatural. And while we did so, we also suffered a rather emberessing defeat at the hands of an enormous, possessed pumpkin, almost like a scarecrow, and its minions. We vowed to fight it again at a later date.
From there, we returned to the Midnight Club, which we believe may be distantly related to our guild, and began to assist them. However, a pressing matter drew my attention away from our adventures and I was forced to depart early.
I understand the Professor has been active in Striga Isle, and has actually uncovered an undercover operative by the name of 'Hess.' I believe we may assist him in the near future.

OOC: Who's going to be here on Thursday? I know Blood will be off getting his nerd on (more so than even playing on a RPG team in a MMO allows). Will anyone else not be here?
So I was thinking, if we're all level 28+, it might be good to run the Hess TF tonight and just finish up the Midnighter Arc and run a safeguard Thursday, then resume with Croatoa on Tuesday. Hess sounds so straightforward, like such nice content, good experience, merits...
Thoughts? Comments? Concerns? Anyone not level 28?
Civil hasn't quite gotten there, I believe. At least, that was the case when we finished up Thursday night.
I am obviously pro-Hess, but I haven't done the Midnighter stuff we're working on either. I'll be happy whichever way we go.

Regarding thursday night;
It was my understanding that if only one of us was away, we'd stick to doing content that didn't level us that evening, so that person didn't fall behind. At least, that is what we have been doing, as I understand it. Maybe I just misunderstood though.
And to be entirely clear, if you guys want to, by all means go ahead and level up without me. I'm not asking that you hold yourselves back on my account. I'm just saying that, and maybe this was my mistaken impression, but I thought that was the plan, to keep everyone around the same level. Whatever you decide is fine with me though.
Paragon Unleashed, Unleash Yourself!
No, you didn't misunderstand. I just don't always remember to tell you the whole train of thought which leads me to places.
My thinking on Hess would it bring us all to level 30 or 31, which allows us to start the next Croatoa contact. We're starting to get into the levels where I wouldn't expect to level more than once an evening. So in terms of pure levels it should be okay. And then we'd all hold off on taking the next Croatoa contact until Tuesday, so we'd all be on the same arc still, even the rest of the team got to level 32 and you were still at 31. We've already got some level spread going on, and I thought this would bring us all back to around the same place.
Part of the reason we've been doing zone-specific arcs so far is because those contacts just give the arc and not a lot of fluff. Siolfir and I duo'd a couple of charecters up to 50 and when we got to Tina McIntyre, well, Siolfir got handed every non-arc mission under the sun and I got right onto it. Multiply that by 7 and blarg.
So: To sum up. You remembered correctly. I thought it would be okay just this once. But I forget we all started the Midnighter arc and I don't want to strand you with that. So tonight let's finish that arc and see where we are with time, and make the call then.
PS- Also, I think the Hess TF is nifty and wanted to show it to you.
From the Adventure Log of Countess Clink Clank
Tonight was a night of high adventure. First we completed a series of tasks for Mercedes Sheldon of the Midnight Squad, an organization I approve highly of, before heading to the headquarters of the more dubious 'Ouroborus' and its clique of 'Mendors.' Nevertheless, we traveled through time on a series of missions, including a MOST enlightening series for Twilight's Son.
Still, I continue to doubt their motives, and not one of them offered to help us return to our own time.
Tomorrow night we will run the Hess TF, departing from Striga Isle. I'll go ahead and form up the team, but then the power will pass to the Professor for the evening.
Non-guild members willing to play along are always welcome to join us. We'll have two spots open tomorrow night.
Dinged 30 this morning when I dropped Mercedes Sheldon's last mission (can't believe I never called her before we hit it Tuesday), so the enemies will be suitably tough for the rest of you.
Speaking of which, at what level should I set my difficulty? I don't have much experience leading TFs.

Sorry but i can't make it guys, i'm sick. I would play anyone but i have to go afk every 10 minutes to throw up.
Hmmm.
Ok, Prof, set your difficulty to heroic and we'll steamroll.
Civil, don't forget to rehydrate and I hope you feel better soon.
I'll arrive around 5:50 and try and recruit a 6th person, if I can't find one by 6:10, we'll call the evening a wash and all go work on our sewing projects instead.
