Rude Tells
Never had that level of entitlement, though some of the PL beggar tells I've got have some close. Most of the rudeness I've got on those tells, however, I can't repeat here. They don't like it when you don't drop everything to PL them, apparently.

I quit a team that was in the middle of some really spectacular fail...three of us were conversing in /tells about how phenomenally bad it was...and we three quit and formed another team.
A few minutes later, I got a message from the leader of the horrendous team:
"da f$#@ u tink ur doin steling my team" (he used the profanity, not the special characters)
(Please note: When he sent me the team request, he used full, proper English, or I wouldn't have accepted it. And he didn't speak much while we were teaming, so I have to wonder if the team request was a macro someone else had written him )
Me: "Your team was epically failing...nothing could have been salvaged except by starting over, which you didn't want to do. So we took our toys and went home."
Him: "u stupid c%^& u will b sory, u wont get nemore teams ever" (again, he didn't actually use special characters)
Come to think of it, I've never seen him in game since that night ....

I had my search comment set to "No I do not want to join your team" for a while because "Not LFT" wasn't working. One day shortly after logging in my Kin I get a tell from someone saying "just saying solo would be more pc". To which of course I'm boggled and reply telling him that I don't care. He then proceeds to tell me "one day u might need some help", "and i have a good memory with many friends in high places".
At that point I was almost falling out of my chair laughing as he continued to make a huge deal out of my 'non-pc' search message.
I shudder to think what other completely unimportant things set this guy off if something as simple as my search msg saying I don't want to join your team got him that worked up.

Just remember kids, it's all pretendy fun time games!
Not incredibly rude, just one of those "entitlement issue" things:
The other day, while I was set to "not accepting invites" as normal, I get a message that soandso tried to invite me to a team. A few seconds later, they try again. Then a tell comes in that says "accept invites".
...yeah, yanno, when I set myself to "not accepting", there's a damn good reason for it.... The blind invite without even paying attention to LFT status is bad enough, but expecting me to change my status for a total stranger to PUG with them?

I like it.
I have had tons of fun with idiots in this game in the 10 or so months I've been playing, the funniest probably being the time I was in a frostfire mission and the leader sucked so much we just sat back and watched, sending each other 7-way tells about his skills until I finally decided to make a private channel[much easier]. We hadn't touched the FF room and he goes "I'm gonna go get Frostfire". So he goes and kills himself, followed by "tp plz", so I tp'd him, then "rez plz" and the mockery channel goes no don't (because I was on an emp), but I was like "no it'll be funny", sure enough "you guys stay here while I go get frostfire".
Like a dozen times. It was hilarious.
Yesterday there was someone in steel for 1 1/2 hours asking for a rich toon to get him wings in broadcast, that was pretty funny too, because everyone knew he'd been standing there doing nothing but asking for wings all that time.
10 50's To Date! Check out Titan Sentinel; it got my CoH presence synced online
So, I'm on my grav/storm controller. I had just finished helping out a friend with her Tsoo in Steel and I'm standing around in Icon with my sing hanging around nearby. My friend ALSO has a sing out. Just as I exit Icon, I get "turn off yr pet". I reply back, "Umm.. how about no?" just cause I was feeling snarky. He says "It's distracting for people who are trying to concentrate." Mmmkay. Then he says "It doesn't matter, you left anyway."
So I walk back in there, naturally, to see where this guy was. He was at the BACK of Icon, standing right next to my friend and her sing.
So, I send a tell. "How come you're sending me a tell when <friend name> is standing right next to you with her singularity out?"
"I didn't see her."
"Well perhaps next time you could actually have a look around and make sure the person you think is bothering you is really the right one."
Then I put him on /ignore
He then sends a tell to my friend, "I see what your game is." She, of course, is completely taken aback, as he then proceeds to tell her that she's harassing him because her sing was out, and that he was going to get her banned for harassment.
Naturally that didn't happen. I just wish I'd remembered to put a note on him.
I had someone send me a nasty tell for turning down their team invite today.
I don't accept blind invites, an invite sent after you send me a tell but before I send you one back is a blind invite.
I also will not PL you if you ask for it.

I was just wondering what was the rudest tell any of you have gotten and if this is common on other servers. I was on champion.

That'd be the guy that saw my "I don't bridge" search comment and said, "lol I didnt know anyone was stupid enough to pass up free xp."

I've gotten that one too. Odd.
The most memorable rude tell I ever got was when I was soloing on a character that I had set to the red "not accepting invites" setting. I'd been in the zone for about an hour doing various missions when I got a tell from an obviously upset individual saying he has been sending me invites for 20 minutes and demanding I change my setting and join his team.
I replied, "I think you have me confused with someone else. I'm not interested in joining your team."
That's when the obscenities started. Who the <bleep> do I think I am. foul foul filth and foul.
I promptly ignored him and sent a final tell. "Congratulations! You have just won a seat on my ignore list. If you find the "you are being ignored" message frustrating please fasten you seat belt and return the stewardess to her normal upright position."
I think he's still on both my ignore and global ignore lists.

Me three!!!
Hey kids, there are folks here for whom the great thing in the world isn't sitting by a door and letting someone earn xp. Now a 2-year vet, I officially don't care and won't bridge for anyone (except myself for some 3-boxing ) again.
What I get in the way of rude tells goes something like this: " Wow! you're a 54 month vet? I am sure you have a lot of influence. Can you buy me X, or give me X amount of influence?"
Seriously, who the <bleep> do they think they are? I mean if they applied half the energy they spent from begging for hand outs, they could have had the influence to buy what it is they wanted in the first place!
I think I may have something worthy of this thread...
I was on a team with a few other friends running some missions in Peregrine Island, against some mid-40s level enemies. One of my friends received a tell from a guy wanting to join us. Basic self-invite, not a big deal. He was about 15 levels below us however, and had been asking around for PLs earlier in the afternoon. We decided to pass on the offer. The friend sends back the standard "Sorry, we're not looking for more members right now" reply.
"u know u get more xp with larger teams," he tells my friend. "Yes, but all the same, we're sticking with what we have. Thanks," is the reply.
He then goes on to send several more tells, mostly along the lines of how it's stupid to basically turn down more XP and rude to not invite him. This goes on for about 10-15 minutes. My friend has stopped replying by now, but is too enthralled by the player's sudden bile to just /ignore.
Not one of my shining moments I suppose you could say, but once I caught wind of some of the foul things he was saying to my friend I went ahead and invited him to the team. Before he gets into the mission I tell him "When you get inside I'll TP you."
Once he zoned in I did exactly that... Right onto a group of enemies. Being that he was 15 levels lower than anyone else on the team, I'm sure you can imagine what happened next. Before he can comment, I kicked him from the team and put him on /ignore.
After this he sends more tells to my friend... /Very/ disgruntled tells. He does this for roughly 30 minutes, culminating with, and I quote: "i r bipolar b*tch@w" with symbols and all.
Interestingly enough, about an hour later this player /resumes/ sending my friend tells. He does this off and on over the course of 2 days.
I still think it's sad he sent my friend the tells when it was actually me that TP'd him, but oh well. Needless to say, he never asked us for a team invite again.

Win. I want this on a T-shirt.
I had a guy ask me for money, then proceed to tell me my sg sucks, ten minutes later he asked if he could join.
About a week after I first hit fifty, issue 3ish. I was standing in Atlas with a bunch of my friends all 50's and we were passing out influence to anyone with a good back story. This level 15 scrapper jumps into the middle of our little semi-circle and proceeds to tell us things like "pwr lvl me" "u guys r 50 ur supposed to help the lower lvl ppl."
After about 15 minutes of this I get really sick of the guy and tell him we are all about to log, but I knew some guys that did nothing but power level lower characters. I proceeded to give him very specific instructions on how to get to "monster island" in Peregrine. I told him one of the guys that would do it is named Quarry, and if he just sent messages in Broadcast once he went over there he would find him. So I go to Peregrine because I have to see if he does it. Sure enough, there he is sending broadcasts "Quarry will you please powerlevel me." He then goes on to tell me no one is responding to him, and I tell him to step up to the island, he is usually in the middle, he tells me he got killed when he went up there because of the GMs. I tell him it wouldn't matter because once he started to get powerleveled the debt would come off quick. He died 5 times before he stopped sending me tells. Don't know how long he stayed out there.
I was just online a few minutes ago at WW when some lowbie came up to me and sent me a tell asking for 20 mill. It was beyond rude to me as she demanded "Give me 20 mill plz" and sent a trade invite. I told her no and went on my way when she replied back "what?". I said no again and she said "no?". It seemed as if she was shocked that she didn't get her way and that I was supposed to just give her 20 mill. I then told her " You Get Nothing!!!" and logged.
