Your color scheme is good, I like the way you used the dark red and olive. The pale skin is a good and subtle touch.
You would have made it into the first cut of 10 (there weren't a lot of cowboys so you would've stood out) but you probably wouldn't have been choosen to be the top 3 of the server.
Well if I remember correctly the 3rd and 2nd went to of my SG mates, and top billing went to someone I am pretty sure I beat in CCs before...but who knows.
Always loved the work MMOArt put out and hated I missed it. But please lemme know if there is another one cause I will never have the money it costs for one of these lol

Being picked to be in the first 10 isn't anything to sneeze at, and who knows you might have gotten into the top 3. On some servers it was easier to pick the top 3.
The logistics of that contest was insane. I think there was 30-45 mins for each server. Gill Lush and I had to make alts on each server and put them in Pocket D.(As I recall, Virtue spawned 2 Pocket D's when it was their turn).
Then there were special guest judges that had to be coordinated as well as getting folks to line up for the contest. Picking 10, then narrowing it down to a winner or top 3 (I believe it was). It was totally insane, crazy fun.
It's Gill/Jomaro's call if there will be another costume contest. More than likely it won't happen anytime soon since he is fully focused on emptying out his queue.

Keep in mind that Contest art will get bumped in favor of Commissioned art... at the time, I think Gill was trying to grow his business a bit (but already had an awesome queue) so it took a LOOOONG time for the winners to get done.
Which is as it should be, paying customers go ahead of contest winners, cos they're putting cash in the bank.
However... what would be cool is an SG sponsoring an event, all chipping in some $$, and giving the winner a MMOArt commission. I think Paragonian Knights have done that, once or twice.

Actually, from what I've seen on their site, they do it everytime one of their members reaches 1,000,000 prestige, but I could be wrong.

That is correct. Over the years we have used MMOArt and John Becaro. We are now looking for another artist to start using as well.

Cameo's are always such a cool thing to see, but aside from that the lighting is superb! Also the perspectives on the screens make the piece pop nicely. The elements were very well done! Great job brother on both pieces!

When Soul made the semifinals for Victory at the time, I was up against Ms. Japan, who took second overall. I remembered thinking "This is as far as it'll go" cos she was so good.
We both got picked for the finals. I still thought I'd get cut, cos I'd seen the other finalists on other servers. So third was still an honor.

It got pretty tough giving input on the finalist, Gill and Lush did all the hard work though. I just e-nodded in agreement most of the time.
Soul Train was/is always a standout. As I recall Verika (T!M) had an outstanding character as well, great use of color (naturally) on that alt.
