two dogs for free
Crawler, if my backyard wasn't already too small for the witches I have, I would.
Next house, I will be taking in more to give them happy homes. Radar was a WalMart puppy with worms and other issues. Bella was going to be sent to the pound because her last mom couldn't afford to keep her.
Be well, people of CoH.
Ouch. Speedy recovery!

Hope your hand is ok... I know what it's like to break up a fight between cohabitating dogs....
.... Try it with a couple Rottweilers.
Seriously, though, if it's just a scratch, you should be ok (I'm not a doctor, take that as you will ), but if it is pretty deep, you may need to get a shot. They say it's better to be bitten by a dog than a person... But it's still not necessarily good to be bitten by a dog... Obviously!
Take care, and best of luck on a quick heal.

Can't resist a doggie thread! Some beautiful dogs shown. Here is my boy Nobi .
He's very quirky but has the best disposition. I would have more dogs if I had a backyard... /sigh
Damn you Crawler! I want all of them. I'm in an apartment now, but looking to move into a house. Still, I don't think the yard will be big enough. The plus is most houses in Phoenix, AZ have brick fences around the back yard. Maybe I could get one that would be happy inside and good with Eddie the Ferret. Not that I would let them near each other too much.

These are wolfdogs (sometimes known as wolf-hybrids even though that is an inaccurate term) that needs loving homes. These animals are generally very friendly, loving, and loyal animals that are just misunderstood because they happen to be part wolf.

I have a 16-year-old pug who can go with those JRTs. He's decided he doesn't like me any more and tries to kill me on sight. Fred, the bony bad-breath bitin' bastage.

Take it to the vet to get it's teeth pulled. Bad breath + Nasty disposition = Pain. Old dogs get tooth decay and gingivitis in a bad way especially short muzzled dogs like pugs. They don't have much mouth area so chewing doesn't do a good job at cleaning.

Well I do know a lot of people who own wolf dogs with smaller yards, you just have to walk them a little more often. I recommend Cesar's Millan's method with roller blades.
Besides, it's very cool to watch people's expressions when they see one of these dogs coming down the street.
True story, I was walking Shy and Shadow one day and a lady coming my direction saw them from a distance, crossed the street and stood and stared. The bad thing was she happened to cross on the road that I needed to turn on so now she had to skedaddle on down the road to avoid us more.
Heh heh. I will have to keep in touch and see the rules for whatever place I land and such.
Greyhounds! What sweet babies. Yours are beautiful, Quickening. Two 40 mph couch potatoes looking very adorably smug on the sofa.
Here is a photo of my Happy Cakes, she was also a retired racer. It's a very cruddy photo but I don't take pictures much.

Hence, occasionally a geek...
You'd be surprised how many people do not get the reference. 90% at least I have to embarrasingly explain that his name is not some exotic, other culturely name.

His teeth are okay, as good as a pug his age will get. I've been involved with animal rescue for more than two decades now and I volunteer at the local animal shelter, so I've pretty much got the info.

Sooooo Beautiful , retreivers right ?
This thread makes me sad and smile all at the same time - we had to "let go" of our Miniature Schnauzer, Gus, when he got too pained to move much. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I have pics.
I've had no pets since then that weren't stuffed, Furbied, or beanied.
But I'm liking seeing pics of all of your "big sweeties".

My dad told me that a dog gives you every ounce of love it has never holding anything back and when you leave the house its heart wrenching to a dog but when you return its cause for celebration .
I honestly know that no matter how horrid my day is , no matter how badly I screw up that when I get home and get to play with my dogs it allways gets better

Here's my hounds, Hammi and Deja (short for Deja Vu and...the Hamidon!)
We adopted them at the end of their racing careers when they were 4, they are now 6 years old. And from the same litter even, they just happened to be retired around the same time which doesn't happen often. We feel pretty lucky to have them. Except that greyhounds aren't supposed to shed, and we got the world's two sheddingest greyhounds.

I agree. When I saw Nanna I thought "Wow, gorgeous." Very lovely dog.

This is me not making a joke about pink Snatch.
I don't know if this is against the new regulations but since this is turning out to be a Dog lover's thread I want to ask for help.
We need homes!
These are wolfdogs (sometimes known as wolf-hybrids even though that is an inaccurate term) that needs loving homes. These animals are generally very friendly, loving, and loyal animals that are just misunderstood because they happen to be part wolf.
If you love animals and happen to have a semi-large to large yard (wolf-dogs love to run at least mine do. See above for pics of Shy and Shadow) then please take a look at these pictures. If you are interested in knowing more about how to rescue/adopt any of these dogs, please PM me.
