Then we got another female Chi and this is Max's first born
Our Old Man, Cocoa had to be put to sleep earlier this year--shortly after my wife's mother passed away--I'm glad he outlived her--she would have taken it harder than anyone--but we all took it very hard. My MIL owned Cocoa's mom and after a string of odd events we ended up with him. I really loved that old man. He was around 16 which is really old for a pure Chow. Unlike many of his fellow Chows, he had his mother's personality--which means he was mellow and sweet--and loyal as a Beagle. Some days I miss him terribly. One of the finest dogs I've been privileged to know.
It's losing a member of the family, and it's never easy.
My mom's dog, Dundee, half Australian Shepherd and half coyote, passed away earlier this week. It's always hard.
