I hope things work out for you and your children, GP.

Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.

I don't know what to say GP other than he's an IDIOT to ask to take your baby away. Mental?

GL sweetie and please let me know if you need anything.

OH NOS! I'm sooooo sorry to hear this.

Darn, this really messed up my day. (But not as much as yours, I'm sure.) Stay strong and persevere. I agree that the baby should stay with his brothers and sister. It just isn't right to break up the kids like that. (and W T F about the ex taking care of the baby. seriously messed in the head.)

I'm sorry to hear that, but if it means anything, you are a very attractive gamer chick so I am sure there is already a line of potential suitors forming up just on Champ alone.

No, don't lock him out, he is the dad and a child needs a dad, but he has to be reasonable also.

So does GP, Saying NO WAY on everything is not being reasonable. I did not say that he should get the little one 100% or the time.. So far we see one side of the post (I dont thing we will see the other).

I lost so much with my oldest daughter because I was blamed for everything and excused of things that never happen. Now I get why were you never in my life from her.

IMO, it would be best for me to raise him, allowing his father open access (calling beforehand) and being in a good head frame. I did that with my ex-husband when he was clean and sober up until he died. I would never use the kids as pawns. No one wins. However, I'm having a hell of a time finding a place near my kids school that's within walking distance.

Good to hear GP. I was sure you were that way. Finding places is always had and no fun.

Took my sweet n sour boy to the Psychiatrist today. He was the biggest Newb of the 4 and got stuck while coming into the world. Turns out he might have brain damage. Explains a lot. Can I sue the OB? He didn't use conventional means to get him out.. he just dove in with his big fat frickin hands, grabbed his wee head and yanked. His temples never looked right. I think he squished his noggin. My boy could've been brilliant. But I'll love him just the same. Looking forward to a long life together!

I hope things turn out okay that GP. I'm not real sure what legal means you can go by so I would suggest research or calling to see. However, if it could happen, I'd say go Hulk on his *** and see how your OB likes having it done to them.

Doctors are squishies. Just send him into a Mob of "Crazed Women" and he'll learn.

GP, do they allow you to sue doctors in Canada? I know in Austria and Switzerland they have almost absolute immunity. One of the reasons why I find their nationalized models fail to give good care, the doctors just don't give a rat's *** about their patients.

Sorry to hear about the injury. Take heart that, while things could have been different, he will still be special. Rex Hudley's boy was born with Down's Syndrone, but Rex always says his boys has "Ups" Syndrone because of how much joy he gives to everyone around him.

GP, as one mother to another, I am in pain when I hear that there has been harm done to your babe. If you feel, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that the physician is responsible for your son's condition then I say YES! Wholeheartedly. As some of you may know I am currently embroiled in just such a situation. The physician did NOT listen to me, not once. She made grossly negligent decisions based on information that she did not have or guessed at. And now our son has a physical ..deformity is too strong a term. Hinderance is probably a better word. He's sweet, bright, and in other ways a normal child but he WILL, sadly, be construed as a handicapped individual for the remainder of his life. (not by anyone in our family that's for sure LOL)

If the person that delivered your son is given the oportunity to make the same mistake, do you not think he/she will? Why? Because no one told them they did wrong in the first place. He/she hurt your child, and for that they should get into trouble.

I will be content to have the woman who delivered Dev to never practice medicine again. She deserves at least that. I do not want this to happen to another mother in her care ever again. We pay our physicians to be above all, almost gods, they are given the education to KNOW what needs to be done to prevent problems. When they do not take steps to prevent these problems that they spent YEARS going to school for then they should not be doing this job ever again.

I am an angry mother...but to be truthful.. I am angry at myself..for trusting her. Now my son will be my constant reminder that I am to trust no one... no mater their education or background. Angry? You bet your sweet *** I am. Cynical? Maybe. But I'd rather be that than run the risk of someone hurting any of my 4 boys ever again.

Award for "I will stomp a mud hole in your sorry ***" goes to AngieB.

Oh (((AngieB))).. I'm so sorry. I would go Mother Bear on their *** too. I have to get a brain scan done on Tom to prove any wrong doing. Even so it's been 8 years and might be too late to file a lawsuit.

That's just a sign that you're smart... lol. I've got two kids, and we're looking at a third, and it still scares the crap out of me most of the time.

Don't be scared off. Kids are fantastic. I wouldn't trade the life I have now with my kids for one without them despite the worry and concerns. They come just because I'm trying to be a good parent.

Angie, I'm so sorry to hear about your kid's injury. I'll give you a different story, this one was to a friend of mine's brother. His brother was born without any arms and at around the same time, their father left the family. The mother taught the boy to do everything with his feet but because she was a single mother, with almost no child support, and 3 kids, money was short. One day they were riding on the bus and, since they had to rush, didn't have time to put on their jackets before the bus came. So they are on the bus and the boy starts to put his jacket on. He is about 8 years old and it is a struggle. A women is sitting across from them on the bus and she has this look of disgust as she watches. Finally the other woman says, "You could help him with that you know." My friend's Mom looked at the woman, then at her son as he was about to win the jacket wrestling match and said back at the woman, "I am."

Today he has a family of his own, can cook, clean the house, take care of the kids, work and play guitar, all because he was treated like any other member of the family.

*damn, this thread is going to make me cry ... again*

Ok, so my autistic son broke his arm (just above the elbow) back at the begining of the month. Cast is off now (for about a week already) but he still doesn't straiten it all the way like he does his other arm. He's using it, just not fully extending it. Normal?
